West Coast Sourdough - Laguna Springs

Great sandwiches and they aren't on the beaten path. They get their customers from serving good food. I don't think they are a chain but if they are, it's a good chain.The staff is friendly and are quick. They have tables inside and on the outside.Please give them a try!

Love it. Staff are friendly bread is always soft and warm. Bread bowls are delicious.

Located a suite or two down from a quant little bookstore I've been to a couple of times. Until today I assumed West Coast Sourdough (WCS) was just a bread shop. But my girlfriend mentioned that her office just had sandwiches from there, and since I had to pass by I decided to give them a try.WCS has a nice relaxing vibe inside, with its color scheme and decor. It definitely has the vibe of a place where you want to sit down and enjoy a meal. I wasn't sure what to order and some places have so many many options, it can be overwhelming trying to decide. But right next to their menu on the selection process, that has two giant ads for two of their select sandwiches which caught my egg. If I walk into a sandwich shop and see "Lobster" and "BBQ Brisket", you definitely have my attention. After asking about both I decided to get the BBQ Brisket sandwich, which comes hot on sourdough bread and with cheddar cheese and coleslaw. Typically I'm not a fan of coleslaw, but the guy at the register said it was pretty good. So I decided to give it a try, especially since it does go well on Nashville hot sandwiches. And I have to be honest when I say that that sandwich smacks!Nicely toasted fresh sourdough bread, with slightly smoky BBQ cause covered brisket, melted cheddar cheese and crunchy coleslaw....WOW! If you want the sandwich can come with a pickle slice which I opted to get, along with Mrs Vickie's Jalapeño chips.OVERALL: Pleasantly surprised with the sandwich, so don't expect a Subway type sandwich here. WCS seems to be serious about their sandwiches.Would definitely recommend.

Tiny sandwich. Huge price. Just too expensive for so little food. Barely any meat on the french dip and it's just basically eating a tiny baguette. Not worth it. If you wanna charge me that much make it big enough to fill me up.

Came around 1pm and ordered a turkey 6 inch sandwich. Came to around $10 which is pretty pricey to me. Very customizable with toppings, sauce and cheese. Although I didn't see any pickles as a choice and that's classic on a sandwich. The sandwich bread was hot and very fresh. Gobbled my food down quickly. I like that they have cups by the soda machine for water. Water is nice and cold. I would come back to try other sandwiches and the clam chowder soup.

I love the sandwiches and bread here but they are getting a little expensive and when I spend $13 on a turkey sandwich and ask them to leave off the onions but add peppers, it's a little ridiculous that I get charged for the substitution. I think I will stop going there now.

Low-key dinner takeout. I got the Southwest chicken salad and my sister got clam chowder in a sourdough bread bowl. Also got a chocolate chip cookie and a lemon white chip cookie to share.Southwest chicken salad was alright. Nothing spectacular but still tasty and gets the job done. I tried some of the clam chowder and the sourdough bread bowl. Although the chowder had a nice clam flavor to it, it was a little flour-clumpy. Not great. The bread was decent; crusty on the outside, soft and spongy on the inside, but didn't have much of a tang. Still prefer the sourdough bread from Boudin. The cookies here are the soft-baked cookie type, like eating a muffin but in cookie form. The chocolate chip one tasted like what you'd expect and the lemon white chip one tasted like a lemon pound cake (didn't taste much of the white chocolate). The cookies were a bit too sweet for my liking overall.Eh, I'd say that it's not a bad place if you're in the area and are specifically craving for the kinds of food offered here.

Great sandwiches: Rubin, pastrami and cheese and chicken pesto. Sandwiches were ordered through the app. Order was ready when I arrived. Customer service could be a bit better, it was good but not great. I waited about 5-7 minutes before getting acknowledged. They weren't busy with tons of in store customers but we're making sandwiches.

I was craving a sandwich yesterday (8/30/2022) and this location was perfect!I walked in and told the cashier that I had never been there before and he was very gracious. Said it was basically build my own style and he would go over each option. Size of the sandwich Style was veggieBreadCheeseVeggiesSauce Toasted or not toastedTake out or dine inIt was so gracious and made exactly to order!!!Altogether with tip, just under $15. Will definitely return in the future.

Great food and even better experience! Try the Baja salad or sandwiches! Amazing highly recommend.
