Update: After my yelp post, Curt did have his crew come out to make most of the adjustments. They were in/out in less than 30-min. A few pieces he took back to work on and one more piece we are asking to be redone as it just didn't some out as expected. I've moved the rating up to 3-stars and will update my review once all the work is complete. I'll post updated pictures then too.

I'm glad I found WCC. Customer service was over the top. Very nice and friendly people. They did a great job on my customized Bimini top. Just a little reminder, make sure you be specific on what you really want. The owner is really nice and the manager was understanding. I had a little quality defect after a couple rides. I called them and they asked to bring it in. They jumped on it and fixed it right away. That's awesome. I hope they continue with great service for future business.

Requested a quote for a make over for my boat and Scott gave me a quote and a date it could be done and delivered on his promise and the boat came out looking better than I expected.

Beware: Curt seems knowledgeable and appears to want to give you what you need BUT when it comes right down to it he skimps on quality and workmanship. I had $20k worth of canvas, eisenglass, and makrolon installed. I asked for roll up side curtains (U-shaped) - they weren't installed; upon return for alterations, his solution was to put in snaps and straps on the side curtains (eisenglass plus canvas) so the whole side could be rolled up - not a good look. The Bimini has a seam running down the center length - the edges of this seam were not finished (turned over) thus allowing birds to pull at the weave, unraveling the fabric. We had the center panel of the forward screen made with the makrolon; after 2 years it became opaque from crazing and yellowing; all of the makrolon on the aft deck is fine. When confronted with this failure, Curt offered no solution. The canvas pockets that attach the Bimini to its supports do not have zippers so that if you want to remove the canvas for washing and re-waterproofing you have to disassemble the whole structure. I gave two stars, not one, because the canvas is tightly constructed, giving it a professional appearance.

These guys and gals went above and beyond good service & work in replacing the damaged canvas on my sailboat. Due to an unfortunate event (my goof), the dodger on the boat was damaged severely. I obtained quotes from three canvas shops in the SF Bay Area, but none could schedule to do the work earlier than January 2018. A sailmaker I talked to recommended West Coast Canvas as the place he uses for all work on his personal boat. I called Curt and discussed the job and he sent me a VERY fair quote after receiving pictures I emailed to him. His price was so much better than the others that I added replacing other canvas on the boat to my order and still saved money. The work was finished within two weeks.An added bonus was that Curt worked out the job for me to leave my boat at his dock for 30 days until my next scheduled vacation, at which time my wife and I enjoyed a leisurely trip back to San Francisco through the awesome Sacramento Delta.

We can not say enough great things about West Coast Canvas. From beginning to end Scott and Ephren (the new owners of West Coast Canvas) took great care of our needs. They upgraded our 48 foot Californian. New floors, newly designed and upholstered sofa, new glass, new so-much-more. Everyone that comes aboard is so very impressed with the quality of their work. Scott was very easy to work with. Kind, thoughtful, professional and listened to all our wants. He was patient, understanding and didn't complain when I changed my mind on certain details at the last minute. Haha. They took care of our boat as if it were their own. The day we came to pick her up and we got the tour, Scott was beaming... it was as if he'd upgraded his own boat. Almost like a proud parent. :) He walked us though every detail. Do not hesitate to go to West Coast Canvas for all your boating needs If anything you may want done is beyond their scope of work they have the resources to make anything happen. Including mechanical, sanitation and electrical. Having since taken our boat south to Marina Del Rey we are always laughing about the fact that it'll be a long and expensive ride north for any future work. If only they had a spot in southern Cal.

Just got our 37 SunDancer back from Curt, And it is Beautiful, had our Canvases done, They are Amazing, flooring in the cock pit a special order by wife,and Curt made it happen before her bday. Beautiful new flooring through galley, bellow deck another special Oder by wife. And another special order by wife Sun Pads on bow of boat with an Hors d'oeuvres table and they did it!!Curt and Team Your Amazing Thank you

Recently I was a victim of the times and someone was nice enough to strip out my boat and steal almost everything, to include my canvass!! Well I asked around and everyone seemed to refer me up to Curt at West Coast Canvass. I called up and spoke with Curt. He took the time to explain a lot of things to me and after sending a few pictures, gave me an estimate. Brought the me boat up and left it in their hands. Expecting the boat to be gone for a few weeks, but within a week, Curt and his crew finished the tasks at hand. Outfitting my boat with a new travel cockpit cover and full canvass. When went to pick up the boat, I was blown away. The craftsmanship was top notch and everything fit better than the factory canvass did. He made subtle changes that makes it easier to put up and take down. On top of that, one of his Tech's took the time to help me stow away the canvass and put on the cockpit cover. While doing so, pointed out tips and gave recommendations on cleaning, maintenance, and stowing of the canvass and cockpit cover. I am beyond satisfied and now understand why everyone pointed me to this shop.
