This is only the 3rd time I have left a "1 star" review in 8 years of yelping.Honeymoon is over. You have a choice on where you purchase a boat and make this large of an investment. Before you make a substantial purchase like this from West Coast Boat Center, please contact me.Long story short- my 2 year old Yamaha boat has been out of service for over 6 months because of poor service and communication at WCB center. They returned it with unplugged impeller clean outs that blew under pressure under acceleration on the Sacramento River endangering the lives of me and my kids as our boat was taken down current with the engines shut down.Little to no sympathy was expressed by their incompetence and the only thing offered was the parts that broke, which I now have to replace myself. I wrote a letter to the owner, Scott Vanderbeek, that has went un-answered for over a week now. I met Kevin to pick up these parts and he said he was going to meet with Scott to work out a resolution. Empty promises again.I can't explain what I went through over the last six months at West Coast Boat Center with my Yamaha in the short text this review will allow.BEFORE YOU BUY ANY BOAT FROM WEST COAST BOAT CENTER or any car or truck from WOODLAND MOTORS ask around. There are better deals from dealers who will actually be there when something happens. Who will actually just do the simple courtesy of calling you back.I was a raving fan and endorsed them prior. But what they have done and continue to do has been hands down the worst customer experience of my life. This experience has cost me over $10,000 and could have cost the lives of me and my children. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND BUYING ELSEWHERE

I believe I've already written a review for my boat buying process at WCBC for our MB B52 Alpha, however I wanted to give a huge shoutout and props to Kevin the gentleman who runs the service department. Time and time again he has gone above and beyond to take care of us, and make sure we were able to enjoy the boat this summer. New boats from every single major brand have some hiccups, thankfully everything was minor, but even so, Kevin went above and beyond and we are super grateful! Having owned boats for 15+ years, we have never had great service experiences, but Kevin has changed that for sure.

Had some money to spend on a boat and was ready to buy. Excited and enthusiastic. We came in to this shop and we were completely ignored. Even when we feel like we literally forced the salesman to acknowledge our presence in the store - he looked at us like we were crazy. He had been helping someone else, but no one else was in the store waiting besides us. I have no idea why we weren't at least told something like "hey we are busy - we see you there - and we will be with you shortly... " but he said nothing. The whole thing was very off putting. Went elsewhere and spent our money on a boat where we were helped right away. Wouldn't recommend.Looks like several other people had the same issues. I should have read the Yelp reviews before going and we wouldn't have wasted our time.

I have been here several times and always feel like they don't care about customer service. They are short with me when I ask questions. I would never buy a boat from them. Go to larsons. These guys are the worst. Horrible customer service. Gave me the runaround. $1100.00 later the boat still runs like shit. Pissed. They don't know what there doing. A 1 Star Rating is way to generous. Couldn't get my boat outa there fast enough.

Well, they are the new malibu dealer and I was happy since tommys was terrible compared to larson marine. anyway I took my 2022 Malibu in as it was not filling up the rear ballast individually and the computer was not emptying the bags in which I called West Coast both Center and they explained how to do a computer reset which I did and I was able to get the ball emptied, but they still were not filling individually. I made an appointment and took my Boat in and the SERVICE guy who I believe worked at Tommys at one point told me I would have to pay for the update including the oil change which I understand paying for the oil change but not the update. I called Malibu boats and they confirmed exactly what I had thought. I had a Tige years ago I thought they were a great dealer.. not sure whats changed but here is the vm from Malibu. Careful of them trying to nickle and dime you. Malibu also sent me email confirming I didnt need to pay. needless to say they still charge me $100 extra for checking my boat straps because one of them is not disengaging and I'll bet you anything. Malibu says that is covered as well. Charges money to check to see if ratchet works or not? I sure hope to get a new dealer or I'm moving to Centurion.

This team provided us with above and beyond service for our wake surfing boat. There was a gremlin in the system and they did all the trouble shooting necessary to figure out the problem and get it fixed as quickly as possible. Bought our first Yamaha jet boat at West Coast Boat Center a couple weeks ago and could not be happier. I spent a few hours with Micah going over what would work best for my family. He was knowledgeable, professional and patient. All paperwork was quick and easy on pick up day. Micah provided a thorough walk through and explained all the features before taking our new boat home. Great overall experience.
