Walker Community Park

I don't know the city of Galt very well and driving into town I didn't expect much of the park we were headed to. Boy was I wrong. Gorgeous football and soccer fields available for games and practices. Actual bathrooms with locks and a mirror like slab on the wall, just clear enough to see if you have lettuce stuck in your teeth. Plenty of parking and stores close enough if you have to run there for an emergency! I would even say, great place for a birthday party. Picnic area has reservation options!

Clean Park!I feel guilty about writing a review for this park before Kenneth K but here goes! My hubby referees for the Sacramento Youth Football (SYF) during the season and our first game took us to the city of Galt. The game between the junior teams, Liberty Ranch Hawks and Christian Brothers Falcons, were held in the football field of this park.The park is very clean and well kept. The grass is artificial turf and they have a sign placed on rules that are not allowed on the turf:No food of any kindNo drinks (except water)No gum or candyNo smokingNo sunflower seedsNo dogs or petsNo sharp objects (lawn chairs tent stakes, spikes, or poles that may penetrate)Adjacent to the football field is another area of the park where there's a soccer field and a couple children's playground equipment structures (one for small children and the other for older kids). There's also a picnic area as I saw a couple of BBQ pits.For the most part we were only at the football field but the park is very well maintained with a restroom facility and spacious parking lot. This is a nice park to visit with the family. The play area is clean, simple and has a sitting area close buy. I recommend packing up some food to take with you to BBQ and enjoy the nice weather.

This park is great. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because there is no soap or butt O rings in the restrooms.
