Suburban trail with a view of people's backyards. Gets way too hot in the summer (not much tree coverage). Good in the spring. It's boring but it gets the job done.

I LOVEEE this trail and come almost everyday!! But in this year I have had two occasions (one in April and the most recent this month) with the same guy where I have been followed and he has assaulted me once and made an attempt on doing it a second time!! Be careful especially if your a girl, and try to avoid to go running in times when it's not busy. (Both situations happened around 9am and police reports have been made)

I travel a lot for work and finding nice trails to run on is sometimes difficult, not the case in Modesto. This trail is a nice trail to run. It had enough people on it so I didn't feel alone yet not enough to feel crowded. The trail is asphalt with packed gravel along the sides. The trail is well maintained and has lights after dark. Its ~2.5 miles in each direction. I found a nice place to park beside the plaza at 921 W Roseburg Ave.There is a bridge over the busiest road the trail crosses. The other roads that the trail crosses weren't busy at all both evenings I ran. In fact cars stopped as I was approaching so my run was never interrupted.I recommend this trail for Running, Walking, Biking or Rollerblading. Great multipurpose trail.

Nice clean trail for walkers, runners and even the bicycle enthusiasts. I recommend staying on the trail and just going back and forth on the pavement until your tired or the sun has set. The run up the little hill above Briggsmore gets ya going. After a run stop into O'Briens for a snack or into Appetéz for a cold one. The run isn't hard but a cold beer can hit the spot. Lol.

While visiting for work I was staying downtown and wanted to go on a run. It was .8 miles from downtown to the path. The path is really nice and was pretty busy. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they kept it up. I live in Portland and we have tons of paths that some areas are a struggle to keep clean. I felt the safe the whole time and the path had some decent shade. Which helped since it was 80 degrees! Well done, Modesto!

Modesto is off to a great start with this little path! It has good space for multi use and the trees are starting to grow in too (summer shade). If you like dirt path running, there's an established dirt path alongside the pavement that is also maintained. Cons: short length (2mi in 2017 as far as I can tell), urban location means stop signs and interruptions.

What a beautiful morning to go on the new pathway. Lots of joggers and walkers and dog lovers. It's a little cold out so come prepared. If you do bring your dog make sure it's on a leash because there are a lot of dogs.

Went for a walk on the trail recently with my son and Grandson. It was a very pleasant walk and everyone we met on the trail was friendly and courteous. The only drawback is that some of the trail runs along a busy road so, you do get some traffic noise and fumes but, its not that bad and the positives outweigh the negatives. Overall, really enjoyed the trail.'

Real nice trail to walk. There are people walking it or running it. Some people are on bikes too. If you park on Roseburg ave. & Virginia ave., in the plaza, there's a frozen yogurt place you can go to after. It's a nice view once you get to the overpass area.
