Ordered a Tiramisu cake for Christmas this year and it did not disappoint! Not only was it absolutely beautiful but it tasted DELISH! May have been one of the best tiramisu I've had. On top of that the staff was so friendly and helpful... especially with it being Christmas Eve and all the orders they had. They were so pleasant. Worth noting: You do need to give them 36 hour notice for ordering this. Perfection takes time ;) I even picked up a few extra Christmas cupcakes for my niece and nephew! Their selection of baked items is a great variety!

The breakfast menu is really good, especially the breakfast bagle they offer, ive tried a lot of what they have in the bakery along with their coffee, me and my girlfriend enjoyed everything we tried, I'll recommend to family and friends.

I don't recommend lunch here. Asked about the soup and when it was brought to the table it wasn't the soup I was told it was; Didn't have it. Was told the quiche came with side items, they never brought it. I was able to get a dessert in place of the soup. The baked goods and desserts are wonderful here. Come for the bakery, skip the restaurant.

If you haven't been to this bakery you must check it out. I get myself in trouble for spending at least $50 each time i go in I wanna buy everything but I just buy some treats for the office. And don't forget to pick up a latte.

I'd take a picture of my food but that container is empty because I devoured it. Amazing panini, got the turkey and swiss pesto with avocado added to it. Great blended caramel macchiato, definitely better than your typical Starbucks. Each meal comes with a cookie that you can tell is baked there, and the sweets are delightful-my favorite is the mousse cup! Service is really friendly and it's a beautiful and spacious place to eat. This is my second try, I've attached a picture of my first meal from there which was also delicious.

Really disappointed. McHenry Village has been a local favorite since forever, but something has changed. The owners, the baker or something.I ordered a German chocolate cake for a very dear friends Mom's birthday. The cake was beautiful, as you can see from the photo. The cake itself was horribly sweet, it was full of buttercream frosting and just the top had the actual German chocolate icing. Even the kiddos said it was too sweet and walked away from the cake. Really disappointing. I also ordered the chicken pot pie to take home for my Dad and his t was so stale and had no flavor that we gave it to the neighbors dog over the fence. Lastly, I purchased a cheese danish and savory Keish slice to eat on the way home. The cheese danish went out the window for the birds to eat due to it being so stale and dry. The savory Keish slice was decent and I was able to eat this. I spent $50 on a basic, buttercream "German chocolate" cake that was sadly disappointing that seriously I would have been better off getting a boxed cake mix and icing in a can from the store. The cake was very pretty though....There is generally plenty of safe and free ADA and regular parking in their parking lot.The inside is decent and dated. The faux display causes are full of dust and dirt and definitely need cleaning and/or changed out.The staff were extremely friendly, helpful, and kind.Even with the staff and pretty cakes; I will not be back, For the amount of money spent, I'd expect an actual German chocolate cake and not a chocolate buttercream cake....
