Veterans Park

Overall great park!Veteran's park stays relatively clean and has a lot to offer.Pros:- LARGE (over 15 acres)- FIELDS - Several Large (great for football, Frisbee or another sport)- PLAYGROUNDS (2)- BASEBALL field (1)- BASKETBALL 2 full courts- SKATE park - small area to do a couple tricks- WALKING PATHS surrounding the park, over a mile to walk all the park paths- RESTROOMS Gender neutral- PICNIC TABLES - Rentable picnic tables very close to playground - Covered/Shaded- BBQ pits- WATER fountains all around and trash cans- PARKING - Private lot and street parking- Lots of friendly people, families, and dogs!- Dedicated to Veterans!Cons:- Turf on the playground is peeling in several locations- Lots of off leash dogs (all friendly though)I walk my dog here all the time, the baseball field is often being used, but the place stays very open, there is a lot of space here to exercise, play, and have fun!

This park is dedicated to our nations Veterans. At the opening ceremony a few years ago, when the ceremony concluded, the city arranged for several F16's from Vandenberg AFB to do a fly over of the park. It was a nice and fitting touch to end the day and open this beautiful park. The park itself is host to a full court basketball area, two baseball fields, a skate park, a picnic area with BBQ pits. Some with electrical outlets and most of the benches covered. A nice play area for children and lots of grass to run, play, jump and walk the family pets, my daughters rabbit included. This park has It all and that's probably why I'm here everyday.

Good softball field and playground set + sand pit. Functional bathrooms and tables with shade. Big fields, usually filled with people doing different activities. Basketball courts are nice, although they are double rimmed. Skatepark is adequate.

This park is well laid out and there's a lot of variety on the play structures, especially for little ones. I found the sand area in a sad state of disrepair and after seeing notices that they were going to remove it, I don't blame them.There's a decent walk and bike trail that heads up to basketball courts and a nice baseball diamond and field. The BBQ and picnic area is well maintained.

It's a nice park inside a quiet neighborhood. It has skateboard ramps and two full basketball court right next to it. It also have playgrounds for your little ones to burn energy in. There's also covered patios that you can bbq and spend picnics with your family. It also have a well maintained trail that you can run or walk in. Also have a baseball field right next to the patio.

This park is outstanding!PROS: Family Friendly,great atmosphere for pets and children! Cons: Turf is kinda rough,Graffiti in someplaces!I Still Highly recommend this park!!!

If you have small children or small dogs, i wouldn't recommend this park. A lot of folks have their dogs off leash. Three times in two visits had a large dog run up on us.
