Discolored, old shades
Overpainted doors = your bedroom, bathroom, and closet doors don't close all the way
Poorly refinished bathtub
Worn down cabinets
Roaches in washer
Gray paint over every inch of the apartment, even air vents
Moldy, dysfunctional drain plug
Old worn down cabinets that do not match the gray paint. Not your go to living aesthetic

As a place to live, Venetian Bridges is fine. Things are kept relatively clean and maintained. It can be a little noisy living along Grand Canal at times, but overall, I'm satisfied with my apartment. However, the complex is currently undergoing a great deal of renovation. Great, I'm sure for future residents, but it has been a complete nightmare to live though these past two months -- and the project isn't finished yet. The noise we've endured has at times been in the 85-95dB range (anything over 75dB is considered unhealthy). My roommate and I were literally trapped in our second floor apartment for over six hours as they boarded up our front door and removed our porch. (The notice made it sound like access would be intermittent, but the language grossly misstated the reality, and my roommate was unable to go to work that day, let alone how distressing it is to be confined.) The problem has been property management's insistence and gaslighting that we are owed no compensation losing our storage unit and patio for over a month, then losing our living room because all of those spaces had to be cleared and our belongings moved inside. They pretend we just have to endure the noise, even though California law guarantees quiet enjoyment of leased property. They pretend we were just supposed to vacate the apartment we pay for when they removed our only exit, and that we agreed to be confined like prisoners. Once they entered the apartment for repairs and didn't give proper legal notice -- and the workers weren't wearing masks.Ultimately, I'm sure they handled the situation the way they did because the complex is very large, and giving everyone appropriate rent credits would have raised the construction costs by over $250k. But overall, I've found it to be very dishonest. I asked for a EXTREMELY modest rent reduction during this time, and they refused. So, instead I've had to hire a lawyer, and will be filing suit once all the renovations are finished. So, overall -- not a bad place to live as long as you have only routine problems. But if something major happens, I wouldn't say property management behaves at all honorably.

We've been here since October and have yet to have our screens put in, no smoke alarms. The water has been shut off twice without notice, and no one picks up after their dogs! I will say it's maintained and the workers are nice. Maintenance and the office. We will be moving out soon!

I don't know what happened to this place but it looks like it has gotten worse. Beware... that there are many people moving in and out. Some residents will not care about your well-being. The office assistants and managers are great with communication however they can't do much beside look into residents files. Some of the residents just don't care about their lifestyle. They will party, have random people come in day and night, fight and argue daily. Again, they will receive warnings but manage to still live there. Perhaps public assistance program they are supported by, makes it difficult to evict them. BTW there are car break-ins, loitering, stalking and stolen properties on the premises. I understand other places have this problem as well. Be wise and set up a camera if possible. The apartments are being remodeled, and I'm sure the rent will be higher as well. I moved out, and my carpet had to be replaced. The office kept my deposit and I have to pay extra due to my carpet stains (my fault). Overall, it's nice place to stay if you live in the unit where people are courteous, keep to themselves and are friendly. I only dropped this rating tremendously because I had to endure the insanity of people living it up! Lol.

I have lived here for almost 3 years (lived for 2 going into 3) just to say that what I have written is not a bs. For those of you who are curious to live here read my review and you will have a good idea whether u want to live here or not. I will start off with some pros and end with few cons.pros:Good environment: nightly, there are "securities" that stays in the carpools, work out stations, good laundry places. Close to marshalls and other places. 1 bed is okay to live in.Staff: They are really nice. Except the time I am going to talk about in consHousing: pretty good place to live. Carpets are clean and it is big enough for 2 people to live in 1 bed.Cons:Expensive: I am going to move out because rent has been increased from 800 all the way up to nearly 1300.Staff: I have just received a notification to take down my shade in the back patio that I placed stating that "I am not allowed to put up anything or make holes into the wall." However, I have never made a hole, and there were already hooks placed on the ceiling of the back patio of the first floor that I put my shade up on. They said that they told every tenants, but while I was walking around, I noticed there were back patios with shades, which indicates that they never told the tenants. Getting work done: When I first moved in, the back patio screen door was broken, so I put a work order saying that I wanted it to be fixed. Its been 2 weeks, without any answers. I have called them more them 3 times on it. So don't expect your stuff to be fixed within months.Overall: place is nice to live in but they have biases where if they don't like something, they will tell you to get rid of it stating that you signed a contract with them. On top they never get your stuff done. So if you are looking for housing make this your second to last choice.

These apartments are so disgusting never lived somewhere so gross. I can't make this stuff up! This place is infested with roaches I'm so fed up with living here. I have 2 more months and I want to leave so bad! When I say the roaches are terrible they I'm not lying or exaggerating. You will see them in your bedroom, living room, bathroom and especially kitchen EVERYWHERE!! you might be saying oh dirty people? That's why? NO we have traps set up everywhere, poison tablets every corner! And poison powder sprinkled everywhere! They don't go away. Yes the apartment does spray which we did after a month of living here but a pain in the ass because you have to take everything out of cabinets and guess what? We seen roaches come out the very next day! The rent here is outrageous only reason we pay it is because we needed somewhere to stay fast. We pay 1,475 for 2 bed 2 bath then 25 for cat rent so 1,500 then guess what you will have to pay for trash, sewer and water all together between around 120-140 more a month my bill 1,630 most times. This place sucks!!!!!! The people in office are so nice they make you feel so important then when you need your microwave fixed or your ceiling checked because it's about to fall in don't count on them it will take weeks for work order. Save yourself while you can.

I was so excited to move here. As a single mom this was my first apartment on my own. I stayed at venetian bridges for one year. When my lease was up i moved to a 2 bedroom at another apartment complex and 5 days before i moved out my bathroom flooded at 3am. they dont have after hour maintenance. I waited until 9am and they gave me nothing but attitude. Refused to sanatize my apartment, blamed me for the flood and then threatned to charge me if it happened again. Mind you this is the 4th flood. 1st time the main pipe line broke into my house. 2nd flood, my neighbor fell asleep in his bathtub. 3rd flood my neighbors tub had a hole and it leaked into my house. 4th According to them "My fault".Please dont rent here. They will be super nice until they get there money and your living here. Once you start calling in maintenace request (which you will because things are always breaking) they will give you attitude and look down on you. My blinds fell and it took them one month to come out and fix it. Water bill. LOL. They "split" it between tenants in your building. One of my neighbors pays 70 for water bill. I pay 105. Really??? Security will never come if anything happends. My car was broken into twice. My neighbor was harrassed by a homeless man knocking on her door. She called security and they never showed up.Homeless people are here everyday going through the trash. One of them set our dumpster on fire. Another one offered our neighbor kid drugs. Another one LEAVES HIS NEEDLES RIGHT SIDE UP BEHIND TIRESPlease dont move here. Studio apartment is $1295 plus $100 water. This place is TRASH. Please dont move here.

This is honestly the worst place in Stockton to live. You want neighbors who beat each other nightly while the police and complex do nothing? This is your place. You want a place where there's constantly some loud neighbor/s who play music all night or listen to their tv at full volume weekly so you can't sleep? This is your place. Want a kitchen where the stove fan can't even prevent your smoke alarm from going off? This is your place. Honestly this is the the worst place I've ever lived. One time my bathroom flooded while I was at work and they told me good luck cleaning it up with towels after admitting that they hired a plumber to check on my building. Seriously just don't fucking live here. You'll either die here from your cracked our neighbors or from your lack of sleep. This place fucking sucks.

There are some pros about this place as in night security and convient access to a shopping center. However the walls are paper thin, and recently they have been moving in people who don't work. There is too much hanging out and partying. My downstairs neighbor put up a stripper pole in her apartment and partied. She was involved in a domestic dispute where her boyfriend kicked in the slider window. She in return stabbed all his tires. Yet, the front office would say we have to pull or check their file every time we called about the noise. It took them 9 months to finally walk over there and ask her to turn down her music, after multiple promises to do so. We finally moved, but the stripping and partying continues.
