We were seated immediately, all the tables were clean and inviting, staff were very attentive. Beverages were tended to, placing order was very timely, and food wait time was also very good. My bacon cheeseburger with sweet potato fries was served fresh, hot and tasty. I also enjoyed the friendly and smiling staff. We need to come back again for dessert because we were both too full for that on this trip!

One of my favorite breakfast spots! Ever since I tried the combo #3 with the French toast, I can't seem to order anything else. Fish and chips were also really good! The service is always amazing and although it does get busy, you get seated very quickly.

I swear I ate here when I was a little kid, in fact I'm pretty sure I remember going to this exact location. But, that was then this is now. Food is a bit overpriced for what you get, my main issue though was the cleanliness of the restaurant in general. The tables were sticky, the plates were not clean there was stuff stuck to them, the coffee was terrible, and our Hostess was pretty rude. Considering what they charge for breakfast as well as an ice cream afterwards, I'd expect better. Probably won't come back. May try the other one.

Super friendly and chill diner type style. I love breakfast anytime of the day. They have a great menu for lunch or breakfast. Next time I'll try the mushroom swiss vegetarian burger. My waitress was very nice and informative. I couldn't decide and she gave me suggestions. The biscuits and gravy does have sausage but she told me not to worry that the sausage is in big chunks and I could remove easily. I think the cook was informed I didn't want sausage because I didn't see any.The country potatoes were seasoned and tasty. I also had the vegetarian omlette which was big yummy and too much for me to finish.

Get the OATMEAL PANCAKES!!! Best pancakes in town, besides one other new spot. They're so delicious, you can't go wrong. Very much a small town diner vibe and always great service. One of my favorite Modesto spots.

We were at the Dale Road location for my dad's birthday dinner. The booth seats were dirty and the table was sticky. My mom ordered baked potato and she received mashed potatoes and gravy. My husband's meatloaf was black on the side up. I ordered the chili that the menu says "served in a bread bowl". The waitress says, "Oh, we don't serve chili in bread bowls here". I ordered it anyways and it came out luke warm. The young waitresses were very attentive and nice. The food and cleanliness was the problem. We will never go back.

The Velvet Grill & Creamery not only provide a full menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner they also have a great ice cream menu providing delicious milkshakes, sundaes and banana splits. I have enjoyed their home style meatloaf, pork chops, really good soups it is very hard to save room for the delicious desserts.

They give large portions of food. Next time I'd like to split the meal. The coffee is not the best. The vegetable omelette was great without cheese, which I like. Lots of vegetables. I had one pancake instead of toast. My fiancé had the Denver omelette and had no complaints. He had the hash browns and I had the country potatoes. The red potatoes were much better than the hash browns. We were able to find a seat for ourselves at 10:15 on a Sunday after mass. They have waitresses that do a pretty good job of making sure we had coffee. It got pretty busy soon after we were seated. It's a little loud to me but my fiancé said that it was average. I would go there again just for the buckwheat pancake.

I came here for breakfast with my family while we were visiting from SoCal. It looks like a diner. It's a very casual place, and very neat. We were immediately greeted and seated. Everyone, especially our waitress, was very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the Hearty Vegetable soup and would definitely order it again. It's not very salty or rich. The broasted chicken was DELICIOUS! The portions were pretty generous. All four of us ordered this and we ended up taking leftovers home. Reheated it for dinner in the air fryer and it was somehow even better. The mashed potatoes were the perfect side, tasting very homemade. The price for four people came to $80 but given that we each got two meals out of it, it's very reasonably priced. Can't wait to come back.
