The service, the ambiance, the cleanliness and the food. All five stars. I'll be back to try every single thing on the menu and I'll bring friends. The wait staff was just the right amount of solicitous. The lasagna soup was as good as it sounds. Homemade goodness like scraps of Mom's homemade lasagna served up in a freshly warmed bread bowl. I ended my meal with a scoop of the coconut ice cream which was crazy good to the last bit. Highly recommend this affordable and absolutely delicious lunch spot. Lunch for one with a hearty bread bowl soup, soda water and mini scoop of ice cream for dessert with tip was $20. I'll be back

Love it this is our second visit. Our first was to the Modesto location two years ago.Our breakfast plans fell through and we remembered this place and it does not disappoint.It's filled with regulars you know this because the staff knows a lot of the patrons by name, they even have favorite tables.first time for those chicken sandwich it was recommended by the server and she was not wrong. It's her favorite sandwich and it's mine now as well. I did the upgrade for the onion rings, and if you have the chance you should try them totally worth the up-charge.My mom had the cheddar burger with fries and I traded half a sandwich for the burger. It was perfectly cooked, the bun chewy and the cheddar. Good qualityI have to say the staff is as good as the food.Try the ice cream

Food good, great service, very fast service, Milk shakes made to old fashioned way, served with the milk shakes mixing cup. You get 2 milk shakes this way. $$

Home run once again! Today we were served by Adrianna and service was excellent. Usually we have Jill on Sundays and sometimes Lyndsay but that's on Sundays. Mondays we usually are served by the owners sister whose name I can't seem to remember but all of the servers are great!Food is amazing and they have easily the best coffee I've had in my 57 years on this rock. The place is very clean with good music piped low through their sound system so ambiance is great too.If you are looking for a clean place with great food and coffee for breakfast and great service this is your place. Oh and their ice cream is too notch only I'm diabetic so I can't enjoy it like I once did.Prices are fair as well! There's also a sister restaurant in Lodi.

Had the Meatloaf Dinner with a Baked Potato and sautéed veggies which was excellent. The vegetables were a mix of squash and peppers and were fresh and delicious. Te meal came with salad and garlic toast. Topped off wit apple pie alaMode. All very good and affordable. Sat on patio for dinner with my dog and had awesome service from Taryn.

A gem in Galt. A home town, family diner that serves up a great breakfast, lunch or dinner. Excellent food and excellent, friendly service. We go to the Velvet Creamery every time we visit Galt.

First time here in a while.Only took pix of the creamy ice cream. All were excellent, hard to pick a favorite. Had a tostada salad with salmon. So good and enough for 3 meals for me. Service is great. There is a large outdoor eating area as well. Enjoy!

Decided to give this place a shot since it was conveniently placed along our route. We enjoyed the food but the service could have been a bit better. I asked our waiter if they could get me ranch and barbecue sauce and they forgot. I asked a second waiter and they forgot. I then asked the hostess and she brought me my ranch and barbecue sauce immediately. The water is not filtered and taste awful. This means that the water in the soda is awful. Please use a different filtration system because to me a restaurant with poor water says alot. Besides these two hiccups, we enjoyed our overall visit.

This used to be our favorite spot when we lived in Galt--we would go there 3-4 times a month. We recently visited and it was terrible. We were seated quickly but it took over 20 minutes for anyone to offer us drinks. When we ordered, I got my usual--a small spinach salad with ranch and no onions. When it came, I got EXTRA onions, some weird dressing and no silverware. I had to wait over 5 minutes for anyone to come back around to ask for silverware. My daughter got her usual, as well (Mac & Cheese). It was clearly old and reheated (all stuck together). There were only 3 other tables occupied and at least that many people working. The service was horrible and so was the food. I doubt we will be back. Super sad...
