Vannatta Wine

We came here Saturday around 3:30pm. It wasn't that busy. There's outdoor and indoor seatings. $12 tasting fee for 6 wines. Cab Franc was the best wine. It was earthy and smooth. The rest were just ok so we got 2 bottles of the Cab Franc to waive the tasting fee to enjoy outside. Dog friendly.

The wines are amazing. The place is rustic and welcoming. I highly recommend you go tasting there!

Very relaxing setting with plenty of seating. When driving it comes up fast but plenty of parking lot. Steve is super friendly and the wines were all tasty.

Vannatta is a small boutique winery/vineyard located off Grantline Road in Elk Grove. Steve, the owner/winemaker, produces some very nice wines. In fact, his 2020 Resilienza Syrah was recently awarded "Best of Class" in the SF Chronicle Commercial Wine Competition. We have belonged to the wine club now for quite a few years, so we get to enjoy the wines on a regular basis.The winery itself is rustic, with outdoor and indoor seating. Steve has live music and other fun events on a regular basis, such as karaoke, flower design and other art classes, and NFL watch parties, just to name a few. Check the Vannatta Facebook page for events. There are some small snack type foods available for sale. Two other wineries are located nearby, so you can make a day of it if you want. Even if you don't live in Elk Grove, it is well worth a visit.

After doing some wine tasting at the nearby South Slope Wines, we were still "thirsty" and did a quick Yelp search for nearby wineries. Our search led us to Vannatta Winery, located less than a mile away! When we pulled into the parking lot, we were unsure of what we were getting ourselves into. However, once we made our way into the winery area, we were greeted by a quaint backyard setting. Upon entry, we were warmly greeted by an employee named Steve.Although we sat outside on the patio chairs, Steve did a great job of ensuring that he not only took care of the customers inside the establishment, but also kept the momentum going on our tasting as well. We loved every option on the wine tasting menu. In addition, Steve went above & beyond and provided us with a bonus tasting of his favorite selection.The wine at Vanatta Wine is delicious, so delicious that we purchased a bottle. We can't wait to enjoy hot summer nights with a bottle (or two) of vino at Vanatta Wine.

Love this winery! Wines were wonderful and Steven and Amber were so nice. We joined the wine club :-D

Lovely find in Elk Grove! I use Grant Line alot to go East and always seen Vannatta. Finally got a chance to visit and I am quite pleased. So glad to know there are wineries in the Elk Grove area with good wine and vibes.Went on Saturday close to 3pm. There was a good amount of parking. Seatings with the umbrellas for shade. The seating areas had trees for shade as well. You can't miss the tasting room!Met Steve, whom is the owner of Vannatta Wineries. Instantly greeted us and he was very cool to talk to, gave us information on the wines he makes and where they are from. Cathy is also very awesome! I loved learning the history of Vannatta and how they started. I enjoyed alot of their wines from the tasting. Standard starting with white then to reds. There are no sweet wines, so if you're a sweet wine drinker, this is not the place for you. Their prices are about average and no more than $32 for a bottle. The Sangiovese, Rose, and Rapture are my favorite! I also love that they support artists, kid friendly, dog friendly, and got lots of games to play. Vannatta also has live music on Fridays. There are also some cheese, crackers for sale along with drinks for kids to enjoy as well. Definitely a cool spot to come hang out at.

Quaint winery in the country that borders Wilton/Elk Grove. Found this winery a few years back from an invitation from friends who are members. Tasted all their wine on the list, which are heavy pours, and all very tasty. The winemaker Steve is friendly and knowledgeable. We have since become members and enjoy the laid back atmosphere and wonderful bands and singers they have for entertainment. We have met many wonderful people, who are now our friends here. Don't pass this great little winery and art gallery up, it's definitely worth a stop.

Always an excellent time at Vannatta Wine. Friendly, fair prices, and a comfortable place to spend time, drink wine and listen to music.

My absolute favorite place to go have some wine, relax and enjoy! Friendly staff and THE best atmosphere.
