My sisters and I planned my parents 60th wedding anniversary at Valley Hi. What a beautiful location and wonderful employees. The service and attention to detail was impeccable. Eloise was our coordinator for the event and she did a spectacular job. If you need a beautiful location for an event in the Sacramento area I would highly recommend Valley Hi Golf Course and Event center. Thank you to all the staff you did an awesome job.

We had our wedding here in September 2021. We originally booked it for September 2020 and pushed it back due to COVID. Before COVID, the coordinator changed and we were not informed until we spoke to them to reschedule our date. During the year leading up to the wedding, the coordinator changed twice more, with the last time being two weeks before our wedding. We were not informed until we called asking questions. Between everyone I worked with, all took around 3-5 days on average to email back unless I called them. I can give them the benefit of the doubt since it was a hard time for the wedding & events industry but as someone coming from that industry, I expected more communication. We didn't do a tasting until a month before the wedding and I had to be very persistent to get that scheduled. I wish I was able to speak to the chef more instead of relaying ideas to the coordinator and playing a game of telephone, delaying the menu decision further. They were very accommodating to the need for a vegetarian menu and open to the ideas I purposed. I had mediocre expectations as many chefs just don't do vegan/vegetarian dishes well unless they were trained in that field and they met those expectations. Wedding food is known for being okay to good and that's where our wedding ultimately landed. What I found to be the least professional was the lack of an official quote for the food. I had to be persistent to get what I got, which was a quick breakdown of each food item and its cost over the phone. Last thought about food is regarding the poor service. We had very clear, specific, and important instructions and they were not met, leaving my family very upset with us.In terms of the venue, we did not get to utilize the lounge / locker room so do not expect to use it. The ceremony location is fabulous next to the willow trees and water. The places we did our sunset photos were amazing as well. We had the reception outside in the courtyard (I didn't particularly like the decor of the indoor ballroom). My decorator truly made it shine with the centerpieces and lighting. No one, including myself, took into consideration the amount of debris and leaves falling from the trees onto the tables and subsequently people's food and drink. That was unfortunate but seemingly unavoidable. All in all, the venue is cheaper than most and the golf course is quite beautiful. I did spend a hefty amount on decor for the courtyard and I would imagine spending even more if it was in the ballroom to look the way I wanted. Wedding food is average, nothing special. Communication is considerably lacking. Overall, weddings and events might not be their speciality as their focus is more on their members and recruitment for new members.

My father belongs to this club. This review will be on the food, because I don't play golf. If you are a member, you have the opportunity to dine here. The food is always good and the service is top notch. I recently went on a Wednesday night, which is when they serve a weekly family night dinner. That night, I ordered the Cranberry BBQ Baby Back Ribs. My meal included a Garden Salad, Sautéed Spinach and four wonderfully flavored ribs. This dinner was only $10.99. I also ordered a Diet Coke, which was about $3.00. I could have ordered an Iced Tea, which is free.Poll your friends and see who can you into this wonderful club for eats. Or better yet.....JOIN!!! Try to core reservation for their Seafood Night as well. You could see my photos of that memorable night.

The only private golf and country club in the south area of Sacramento in Elk Grove. This private club caters to members and their families. The golf course is over 40 years old and is a traditional golf course with fairways lined with mature trees and sometimes tall rough. Easy access from either Interstate 5 from the west and State Hyway 99 from the east.

Disappointed attended meeting and thought luncheon was going to be held outside well it was not! The tables were placed okay but had toooo many people sitting at each table and hardly a foot apart. The waiters did wear masks. The food was good. Won't be attending next months meeting!
