Vallejo Yacht Club

I have been wanting to go check this place out for awhile now! My friend and I finally went there yesterday. Everyone was very welcoming and treated my friend and I very well! I didn't know what to expect because I thought it's a yacht club probably they are going to be snobs especially since we both looked like hobos that day! They couldn't have been nicer they offered us some delicious sailors coffee and donuts! This was my first time visiting a yacht club and looking into buying a boat! So they told us about the process of becoming members buying a sail boat and renting a slip! I was very surprised by the cost to become a member! Richard showed us his sail boat that he had for sale! It was very nice and my first experience checking out a sail boat! Thank you all for your kindness and hospitality! I believe that the President Arv showed us around the club and told us about everything that they do! This was one of my best experiences ever!

Great people, not snooty. Learn to sail. Poker on Mondays, Wednesdays And Friday night dinners. Races and boat games. Great place to hang out

Vallejo YC is the gateway to the Delta and year after year, they host boaters at their guest docks for over night transit and they do a damn fine job. The club is located just inside the entrance for the Napa river and is the first marina that you will encounter as you cruise up the Mare Island straits. I will always remember the kindness of their club members when I was leaving the club and needed to return the key in exchange for the deposit they had been holding. The club manager was tied up else where, but a member offered to take the key and gave me his own money as the deposit so I can leave on time with the tide. How can you top that? As for the food, they have a good dining room in the club and serve dinners on the weekends. As in most cases, the food is good, but the ambiance more than make up for any other short comings.

I recently joined this Club. The members are very welcoming and there are numerous activities besides sailing (which I love and have been able to do, despite no boat myself!) Also, the fees are very reasonable, I highly recommend the VYC. Check it out!!

Vallejo Yacht Club is awesome! It's members are quite friendly and there are tons of activities throughout the year to participate in. Great location and great racing.

I recently joined the Vallejo Yacht Club, and I'm very pleased. The members are awesome, the atmosphere is so relaxing it's overall a great place.

Vallejo Yacht Club is a gem! It's full of traidition, but unpretentious and friendly. If you're a sailer--this is the club to be in (especially in May at the YRA race). There are world class sailers in this club and they have a ridiculously inexpensive Learn to Sail Program.
