Utopia Games and Collectibles

Only card shop/game store I shop at now. The staff is always friendly and very helpful. The store is clean and well organized. If you're into table top games, card games, video games, etc. they've pretty much got everything you need. Their prices are fair and they give you good deals on trade-ins. I haven't gone to any yet, but I see them putting on a lot of events for things like MTG tournaments and what not. Seems like they've done a lot to build up the gaming community here in Modesto. Solid shop. I've got nothing but good things to say about it.

An updated review! 3 years later and the community is still as welcoming as ever. Staff here is accommodating. Utopia is a great place for beginning and expert TCG players. My boyfriend and I are here almost every other Saturday for their local One Piece tournament. Their selection of games/figurines and single cards as well as packs are abundant.

I came in looking for some games and to check out this shop since I recently moved to modesto. The staff was very rude and unclear about the selection and products they had. When asked about pokemon related games, I was told that "it's in a corner" and gestured towards the general area where it should be, but I ended up having to look around. The atmosphere was very uninviting and uncomfortable. I don't think I'd come here again.

The shop is amazing. They keep expanding and try to provide all card games and board games across the board no matter how small the play group. They do a fantastic job and keeping a community alive and thriving. The willingness to grow and change with the community is what keeps this store so great. Always the best prices I can find, a wide variety of product. If you can't find it in store they can probably help you find it at the best price. 10/10 game store!

These guys are awesome. Super nice. You can tell they really want to build a positive community. When I walked in I felt super welcome. And never felt like they tried to take advantage with pricing. Pricing was always fair. Which is great. Definitely check them out. If you want magic or Lorcana. This is a great place to play and buy cards. Plus they also have tons of video games and dnd stuff too. Nerd out all you want.

I just moved here and was looking for a new game shop in town. Both times I went in two different employees were very rude and unhelpful. It seemed like the last thing they want d to do was speak to me or help me find what I needed.

Hands down the best game/hobby/collectible store in a 100 mile radius. Their selection of Pokemon, D&D, MTG, and video games is 2nd to none. The central valley is lucky to have this store, most stores this large relocate to the bay area and increase their prices. Utopia has grown exponentially over the last 3-4 years but have kept their prices steady and fair.On top of all of that, Cody and Brian are also just super chill dudes who create a welcoming and fun atmosphere. If you come in regularly, they recognize you and treat you like family. They've been my go-to store for years and will continue to be for a long time. Thanks for destroying my wallet fellas, well played!

This place is so cool. They had old games and game systems in stock. I had so much fun looking through all the PS games I remember playing as a kid. If you're looking for any old games, systems or want any gaming accessories, this is the place to go. We bought a PS3 and we cannot wait to play with our kids. Great place!!! All kinds of great nostalgic vibes

Fantastic shop and the owner is WONDERFUL! Went in for a quick gift and question and they had everything I needed.
