Who knew the UC had a museum! Actually to be honest, I have seen it many times over the years but never got a chance to visit until yesterday. I was at the farmer's market and was strolling after and decided to check it out.It is small and has a lot of history regarding UC. My favorite one was a newspaper clipping from the 70s that was about a cop who went undercover as a student at Logan and busted some drug dealers. 21 Jump Street is based on a true story!!!!!!5 stars for effort and intent and being FREE.

Funny that there is a musuem within 40 miles of Fremont. Small little museum, the size of a car port and my bathroom. Cute but interesting

I chanced upon this location while looking for something to do with my group and was pleasantly satisfied with the place. This quaint little nook is owned and operated by a single amazing woman who's been collecting and preserving bits of Union City's history for over 20 years, going back for almost 100. She was very enthusiastic to greet us, and almost couldn't wait to give us a tour of the place. They had historical relics hanging on the walls and inside glass cases, antiqued bottles and various knick-knacks, all well worth viewing. There was a wall full of yearbooks from the 1980's and an entire shelf of newspaper clippings quite well preserved. I though it really neat that you could pick them up and leaf through them. It was a very small location, but well worth the trip! Myrla (the Founder/Chief Executive Officer) was very nice and eager to teach. Thanks for the tour!

Small. Good history. Lots of little exhibits.I finally got a chance to go here since they are closed on my weekends. Nice place! The curator is nice and really knows her stuff. She said she has trained some of the high schoolers there doing their community service to give mini lecture tours, but unfortunately we didn't have enough time for that. The place has a lot of odds and ends of items donated by longtime residents of Union City, and theres plenty of interesting things to look at. It is inside an old fire station. Many street name origins are revealed, and there are plenty of lesser known facts about the city to be learned. Theres plenty of pictures that trigger memories for older Union City residents. I'm glad that the museum exists, and will definitely be back again when I can make it to check out the lecture tour.

I love this little museum, it's got a lot of history in it and Myrla and Rey take good care of it. As a way to give back to this community, I've started hosting events that would attract more people to this museum and the Historic Alvarado community that surrounds it. Every First Saturday we've started an "Ingress gaming meetup" where all you need is a smart phone, some good walking shoes, and time. Stop by sometime and say hi!

It was a very interesting experience seeing all the memorabilia and "antiques". I spent a long time by the yearbooks dated back to 1914. Worth a visit if you have a free afternoon.
