I absolutely love Twin Arbors. I had previously left for a year before the new owners took over. I was truly amazed by how much was updated when I first came back. The chlorine in the pool was actually @ it's PH level. It was quiet and peaceful. The staff were extremely helpful, especially Pam! Yoga is so amazing! The yoga studio is beautiful and very relaxing. Everything is provided for yoga. Every Yoga instructor is awesome. My most favorite part is the daycare. You can drop the kids off and get your workout on! It's just a good place to go. So go check it out.

This place hasn't changed in the 20 plus years I have been coming here. The new owners promised the world and have been slow in making any noticeable changes that justify the high price increase for my monthly dues. The place smells like a pair of socks that have been hiding under a kitty litter box, and the equipment is from the 80's. I'm surprised that the thighmaster is still in service, and that the shake weights still shake...This is a dump. They haven't added anything new in the weight room. They took away a racquetball court for a HIT cardio type studio that features some kettlebells and other newer style equipment but you can only access that stuff if you take the classes. Other gyms have bumper plate areas for actual lifts and even plyometric areas for actual athletes, this place has 3 of the same machines in different rooms, and limited lifting options. With all of the other cheaper, cleaner, and nicer places in town you would have figured that this place would have gotten it by now. It's no secret why spare time dropped this place. Bottom line, The roof still leaks, the inside pool will melt your tattoos off with the high concentrate of chlorine and urine, the sauna barely works, steam showers suck, and the staff is horrible. I hope the new owners the best, but something tells me that they are all talk, and way over their heads. Once the majority of the older people who work out stop coming for whatever reasons, this place will drown and finally, hopefully be put out of its misery

We've been members for the last 8 years and really enjoy Twin Arbors. Kids love the kids programs, swimming and racquet ball year around. They have good cardio and weight rooms and basketball court. It looks like the new owners are investing in some nice upgrades. There's no other gym in Lodi with the diversity of options as TA or nearly as kid friendly.

So this review is loooooong overdue! I used to be a member here, and would not go back if they paid me to work out! Which makes no sense, seeing I didn't workout anyway when I was here, just basically read magazines and chatted with friends! My main gripe about this place is when I signed up, the fees were enormous and they gave no specials, no discounts, NOTHING! Now, that another larger, well known and much better equipped gym is opening up in Lodi, they want to mail out flyers with prices so low it is now cheaper to workout for a month here, than it is to get a pedicure! Wow Twin Arbors, why are you now offering prices that the majority of folks can afford???! Is it due to the competition coming to town? I never enjoyed "working out" here anyways, and when I took my son swimming here, the pool was so nasty warm and smelled so heavily of chlorine, it was unbearable! And the staff is a whole nother ball game. The girls/older women at the front counter were rude as well. Every time my son finished swimming, he wanted a snack. But, we had to wait for them to finish their conversations/laughing/gossiping with other customers before they would ring up a granola bar/fruit snack. Really??? Even though this gym now offers HUGE discounts, I would not return due to the way they managed their business before the competition moved in. That right there shows they lack knowledge in customer service and only care about the bottom line. Go elsewhere for a workout, even just walk outside. This place does not deserve your money.

I've been living in Lodi since March this year and this place caught my eye because I work for the YMCA as the VP of Creative Services, in Australia (theirs include Heath clubs). After researching and looking at their marketing. Along with no website. I called to ask to chat with the marketing manager and was told he's not here and hung up on so me being the determined one I am, stop by to say hi and talk to the person in the marketing department. I have never been so rudely treated in my life. I was a Regional Director of a popular retailChain and I've NEVER been treated like that even when I had customers yelling at me. I've been sales, I understand the concept of gatekeepers but geez so rude when I just wanted to ask questions. Totally turned me off for this place.

No changes to the weight room. Same workout equipment for the last 3 decades. No variation with equipments just like an Apartment Complex weight room. All weights so near each other you cannot get to it or hit someone else working out next to you. The only thing did change is the price increases justified by the cosmetic changes new fresh paint & led lights in the hallway. No significant changes whatsoever. If you want to use the pool you have to pay extra, to use racquetball court pay extra, for using the broken bikes thats been broken for months you have to pay extra, to go to the group classes you have to pay extra on top of the pricey monthly fees. It's turned into a retail coupon come in add-on shit show! What's next charge extra for using hot water & the steam room? Oh & every couple of weeks, new gym rules via email for something he or she may observed & not liked.

I love this club, but they really need to step it up as far as their YOGA program goes. There are only 2 classes to chose from. The instructor is very nice, but her practice should be called Senior Yoga because it is mostly done lying on your back. We hardly get up and and do challenging poses. For us more advanced yogi's we need a good workout up & off the mat. I sure wish they would hire a couple more instructors that could teach a good Flow class for us working people after 5pm. Other than that the club is wonderful. Unfortunately I may have to join another club to get my YOGA in. It's really a sad situation :(

I wish there were 0 stars. I joined last week. I was told clearly that it would be 44.00 a month. No towel fee or sign up fee. They debited my account 95.00. The worst thing about the gym is it's lack of safety protocols for Corona. The employees do not wear masks. A few of the girls do; but far from consistent. When I asked why they were not following the mandate for gyms opening. I was told it was a guideline and they don't choose to follow it. I guess it will be the next corona hot spot. Last - the equipment is old and rusty.Nothing operates smoothly. It's like working out in 1973. Far from the Private First Class club it's touted as. Save your money.

This was such a nice gym for many years but it had been getting run down apparently they we're getting ready to sell and just stoppped caring ! Then the new owners arrived and lots of wondrfUl changes were made until last week when they changed the configuration of the workout areas ! They were so well thought out before , now they are so claustrophobic that you can't hardly get to the machines ! I'm not sure I can even workout here anymore ! Im sure there was a reason for the change but the way it was before was much better in my opinion ! I hope they can adjust things a bit or just put the machines back where they were ! Like the saying goes if it's not broke don't fix it ! Sad because it seemed like the new owners really want to make things better here !
