Stayed in a house boat was pretty cool. Tenants were nice and helpfulthis was my second visit here! Do plan to return. Next time I want to explore the area like try dining in resort restaurant... launching our boat from dock n ramp right by where we stayed.

I've camped here so many times! This place is mediocre. the only reason why I keep coming back is the dock is just a quick 200 feet walk and my entire group rides dirt bikes so we like that they don't frown upon that. You are also aloud to dock your boat at the launching zone BUT beware cuz there are fuckers who will steal from you....like rob your entire sound system!!! BE CAREFUL. Personally I always pull the boat outta the water because well, I'm paranoid and the Delta water can get so dewy at night :)A couple things that I absolutely hate about Turner cut but have learned to live with are:-The grassy area can get flooded depending on where your camp site is. Try not to get the camp sites right in front of the restroom areas. TRUST ME! You will be sorry!-The restrooms are filthy. The shower area is disgusting and when I get home I feel like I have to disinfect my entire body and family.-A couple times I've gone to use the restrooms and the toilets were filled with vomit!!! Whoooo. I know...when your camping especially out on the Delta everyone is out to have an awesome time...but damn, do you not know how to flush the toilet?! NASTY!!!!!-The food that they offer in the small restaurant at the top portion of the dock is gross. Everything is nasty. Don't do it. The worse thing is when your out to have a good time and the food you eat fucks your stomach up. Wait til you get out on the water. There are plenty of spots to eat that are very good!!!!Besides that, just watch what spots you reserve and bring a ton of hand sanitizer. Remember, your camping so you gotta rough it a little! lol

Do not come here with your family. The facilities are fine: bathrooms clean enough, the camping spots are grassy, and most of the people staying here are nice enough during the day. At night it is a cacophony of competing, LOUD music and drunk people. Trying to go to sleep in a tent with my family, I had to yell for my kids to hear me wish them good night. From inside the same tent. The owners of the facility do not moderate the volume, and guests know this: neighboring lots had professional grade speakers and amps blasting until after midnight (most of the music seems to be rap, often quite graphic in content).Perhaps this is a great place if you don't have kids and are inconsiderate, but I wouldn't advise anyone with a family to come here.

I just had to pipe in here and give Turner Cut some love. First, this is THE Delta and it's difficult to find decent RV / camping places. We definitely prefer this place over somewhere like Tower Park. Personally, we don't care for Tiki down the road. We do like some places over by Brannen Island, but they will not allow tents. Then depending where you want to be to have nice water for skiiing, hydrofoiling and wakeboarding, there just aren't many choices. We've been coming here for at least 10 years, maybe more, and our coming back each year is a testament that the place is not that bad. Yes, it's absolutely true that the road getting here is in bad shape and quite bumpy. This is not fault of Turner Cuts, so why ding them for it. It's all the other big trucks that use it down the road for agriculture. We drive a 40 foot RV towing a 22 foot boat trailer and my husband just knows to take it slow and easy. The hill getting into the park is a bit steep, again take it slow and you'll be fine. I don't recommend coming here for the first time in the dark, you might even miss it and have a hard time turning around.Now... we are in an RV, so I don't use the ladies rooms much. However, when we have guests join us and they are tenting they do and they haven't been bad. I suppose it is going to depend on the time you are here if other guests are courteous or not. If guests are disgusting that's not really the fault of Turner Cut, at least until the next day when it needs to be cleaned. They come around Wed-Sunday (closed Mon & Tues) to dump trash at least once a day. The picnic tables are pretty good (not saying fantastic, but they're good). If you don't like crowds don't come out on Fathers Day or 4th of July. We've come on those holidays and yes it is busy, bathrooms get used a lot and it can be loud with people not having a lot of respect for "quiet time." I've been here on Labor Day (like this weekend coming up) and it's been very pleasant.Yes, the cafe up top closes at 5pm (five o'clock). It's more of a cafe, not a store you see at some campgrounds. They sell ice. If you miss the 5pm time you can hop over to Tiki which is about 3-5 minutes for some and I think they are open 'til 6pm. Sometimes you do have to plan ahead and make sure you have your ice. :-)We don't eat in the cafe, so my review is not based on the cafe.Gus, the manager, is always helpful to us. Greg, a resident here, is a complete rock star! He's become like family and is a good friend to us over the years helping us out whenever needed. Turner Cut should put him on the payroll.Again, I'm reviewing from an RV owner's perspective. I've also tented here in the past and it wasn't anything that would keep me from returning. It's nice to have the grass and trees and pretty close to the water where you can keep your boat overnight. We don't leave any valuables on the boat over night. They also have covered slips you can temporarily rent. Don't let some of these older reviews scare you off. Give TC a try the next time you're on this part of The Delta.

First and probably our last visit. Friends have stayed here before and raved about it so when we were putting together a group camping trip we thought we would give this place a try since it was conveniently located for all of our group coming in from the central valley and Bay Area.Only compliment is that the tent camping was on grass which is nice for a change. Most sites are all dirt, this was grass so it was nice to allow all the kids to run around without shoes and soft to sleep on.What sucks? The road in is awful!!! Two lane, very narrow and full of potholes. Our boat was bouncing all over the trailer. Our friend blew a tire in one of the many deep dips in the road. We were even driving slower than the posted speed limit. The boat launch..... it's a steep narrow drive that leads into a very tight corner. It's a small gravel road above that has "No Parking" signs along the edge of the road but cars were parked there all the time and it does not seem like they enforce the rule so it makes it even more impossible to have room to launch. It's almost as if you are launching into a triangle, you launch and immediately have to throttle it and make a sharp turn just so you don't hit the docks directly behind. Same with trailering it, almost impossible to get it in the tight corner and enough room to throttle to get it up on the trailer. I forgot to take photos to give you an idea but found one from their site that I will try to figure out how to add to this review. You can see the tight area I am speaking of.This was more like a trailer resort than camping. There are more residents than camping spots. The spots themselves are very small and they cram you all in. Luckily we had six sites in a row that helped us to be able to spread out some. Friends with the trailer were across from us and they were cramped. There is no real marking as to where a spot begins or ends. So if someone else gets there earlier than you and they set up then they take as much space as they want. This happened to our friends. The spot next to them had a trailer and a few tents. They scattered all over and left only enough space for our friends to back their trailer in and have a small walkway. They couldn't even get their picnic table into their spot. The "cafe and market" closes at 5PM? Never been at a campground that closes their market at 5PM. I know we were camping but the NBA Western Conference playoffs were on Saturday evening and we wanted to watch the game, asked if they would be willing to keep the room open but they declined. We even offered to rent the room and buy plenty of beer to give them a nice profit, but still declined. We had to stream the game but their internet service sucked and kept freezing on us. Plus closing so early we were caught in a bind when we realized we forgot something for the dinner. We had to drive offsite to get our item. They do not allow fire pits so our group didn't get a chance to sit around the fire like we usually do and all the kids were disappointed that they could not do S'mores. It just wasn't camping without the fire or S'mores!!Quiet time is 11PM, however they do not enforce it. Saturday night listened to some drunk lady screaming and fighting with someone at 1AM. Sunday night one of the residents was blaring his music until after 2:30AM. We pounded on his trailer from about 12-2AM to get him to turn it down but he was not answering. We walked around trying to find a groundskeeper or someone from the campground to take care of the music but couldn't find anyone. Finally at 2:30AM another camper walked over, pounded on the trailer for 10 minutes and the music finally went quiet. As a resident this person should be enforcing the rules, not breaking. No one got much sleep that night and we were all warn out. Bathrooms were surprisingly clean, that is only when you go first thing in the morning. Throughout the day it starts to get busier and messier and it seems like they do not come through to clean it throughout the day. By mid-day on our second day it was a complete mess!! Toilet paper scattered all over the floors and stalls were filthy. There was no where for the kids to play. Most campgrounds have a playground or something, late into the day on the first day we started calling out late arrivals asking them to bring things to keep the kids occupied and something to play with. Since it is the Delta we did not want our kids in that water swimming and all they kept asking was to let them swim. Didn't even want to pull them like we usually do on the towables. That water is so nasty and garbage floating everywhere. Now I remember why we never come to the Delta, I hate the Delta. We will probably never come back to this location however if for some reason we do the boat will defiantly stay home.

Let me begin with the road in. It's an experience to drive on, especially with an RV. It's in poor shape due to to the fact that it gets pounded by trucks loaded with produce from the surrounding farms and the fact that it's land close to water means its not very firm. I would suggest driving very slowly over these sections. I went camping here over this past Labor Day weekend. It was a last minute deal and I don't regret being able to camp but the place is just OK in my opinion. The campsite lots are fairly small and there are no fire pits. Perhaps that's not a bad deal as you can bring your own and place it wherever you like. I would suggest avoiding holidays like Labor Day when EVERYBODY camps. There were several parties going on and one woman was walking around clearly on something. The bathrooms were cobbled together and the showers offered no privacy once you stepped out from behind the curtain. The parking is decent. The owner is very nice. She allowed my girlfriend's young daughters to fish off the boat docks where it's posted not to. There is a small cafe that I did not get to try out beyond a couple of Bloody Marys so I don't know what the food is like. Their hours are 8-5 so you'd better have food with you or plan ahead. Again it was an OK place to go. I won't be going back.

It's only 3 stars because it's the Delta which is full of run down spooky places. Any place else and two stars would be generous. The good parts are they have a nice grassy camp ground to pitch a tent, they have some reasonable docks for parking your boat close to the camp grounds, they are close to some other cool places/bars (Lost Isle & Windmill Cove) and they are close to good water at Wiskey Slough & the five fingers around Mildred Island. If you bring a trailer like I do they do have electrical and water hook ups.The bad: The bathrooms are primitive and dirty, the boat ramp is steep and leads to a tight turn to get out, the restaurant is just ok (not terrible for me, just ok), maintenace all the way around is pretty so-so.You come because you love the Delta and for this area it's ok; which is pretty good by Delta standards.

Note: this entire review is only one man's OPINION!BEWARE! The prior owner lady was fine but the new owner 'DAN' is the worst of the worst. He is definitely the type of business person that gives companies a bad reputation and makes consumers not trust them. Dan ordered his employees to remove all the tarps and bungie cords from the top of our boat and physically take off a several $1000 motorboat, he stole it by telling his employees that we gave it to him, when we did nothing of the sort. then Then he allowed our house boat to drift out into the lake without rescuing several $1000s of the items which had been securely strapped on top and then he said they blew off in a storm. But it is worse, much worse! He told us we would not have access to our boat for 6 weeks and yet we had to pay the full rent. Then he moved the boat to an inferior slip and tied it up improperly so it drifted away yet again. We could get no resolution whatsoever by talking with management so we filed a police report and the sherif told us we because we neded the registration for the solen boat for it to be claimed as stolen nor any of the other items. That doesn't make any sense at all but he went into the office first before contacting the complainant and the office lady told him lies that they did nothing wrong when they did everything wrong and the cop believed her of course. Then she had ees sheriff removed me because my name had never been put on the lease saying they do not allow people without a leasholder holder present. But I've been staying thete every weekend for 4 years and nobody said anything until I complained to the police and so what she did was illegal retaliation for me exercising my legal rights! So we felt OK we don't have to have the guy arrested or pursue criminal charges at least he knows we're hip to his game but we wanted to contact the insurance company and make a claim for the other items which he was 100% negligent but he refused to give us g ng e insuramce company name and he told us if we don't drop this thing we can't stay there anymore and who knows what else given it his reputation. The whole thing was to get rid of the older boats and the African Americans as we believe he's a racist. He told us shut up or you can talk to my lawyer and we know what that means he po ays his lawyer to do nothing but tie you up in court and have to pay your own lawyers until they go broke so he never actually asked to face the music. This guy's a real work of art people. There is a resort right next door called Tiki Lagoon that he won't owns too. If you're caucasian your boat is modern and clean anx you do not complain about anything then you should not have any problem with DAN, but is guy is like Hitler on steroids.
