Turmeric Indian Cuisine

TLDR: it was fine.Went for the lunch buffet. About $17- before tip. This begs the question: "Do you tip for a buffet?" I sat myself, got my own plate, and then served myself. I asked for drinks that never arrived, and then paid at the counter (that is to say no check was brought to my table.) So, I did like... all the work myself. Am I supposed to tip? I did tip appropriately, but it has me wondering if we are supposed to tip for service when we do all of our own service...The food was pretty good. They have 3 veg items and 3 non vegetarian items.

Stopped here on the way back from Yosemite. Had seen the good reviews and glad to say it didn't disappoint.Place is not big, but has been set up well to accommodate as many people as possible without feeling too cramped.Started with Mango Lassi and Salty Lassi aka chaas. Presentations was lovely.Dal Makhani and Chole (Chanaa Masaalaa) was tasty. Tad bit spicy, but in a good way. So don't go above medium, unless you enjoy really Missed the fact that you get Rice along with Entree. The portions are decent sized. That means we have our next day lunch secured! Oh and prices are a steal, compared with SF Bay Area. Overall, a great place.

First, a corrections! The buffet is now 7 days a week. yaySo if you like savory you're gonna wanna try their Bhindi Masala (okra) especially in the summer. Vegans, vegetarians & plant based eaters should get the Tofu Tikka Masala (let em know your dietary restrictions ahead of time). Began Bharta (eggplant) good too. sometimes they even have it on the buffet.if vegan takeout is your game order the Roti instead of naan since it doesn't have butter. Wow! Dal, curries and tandoori vegetable are all served up fast here‼buffet: staff here a very knowledgeable about vegetarian and vegan compatible foods. When I came for lunch they only had one or two items in the main buffet that were vegan. They sometimes have up to four different items. It might make sense to call ahead if you're a plant-based eater. "But Athonia, what do I do about condiments?" You ask. request the green mint chutney of course (they say has milk though you can't tell fromlooking)?!! don't forget to request Achar pickled condiment too. Theres a few phenomenal murals inside too. Ok well Let me know on that 'insta' how that went for you. It worked real good for me. Well to start off with there is plenty of parking here! Got here at 4:15 they open at 4:30 but lots of people trying to get in here, so I think that's a good sign!Was greeted by Abha and was very helpful with the menu, how to say service is outstanding at this restaurant.They gave me their version of chips and salsa made out of chickpeas. The restaurant has a very nice ambience, casual or formal your choice. and the food was amazing!!So if you're in this area and craving Indian food, this is the place to go to!

Food is Amazing. Buffet is incredible. One of the Cleanest restaurants I've ever seen. Friendly staff and great ambiance. DELICIOUS!!!

My favorite spot for Indian in town- and all the spots in town are good. But the owner is the friendliest person, and the staff provides kind and generous service. Table settings are lovely. Love the music videos playing on tv.

The food here is very flavorful and their portion is very generous. Obvious comparison with the Bay Area, I think I wouldn't get the same quality and price here. Their garlic naan is a must try. Talking about the service, I'd give 5 stars for it. Their staff is super friendly, genuinely treats their guest with utmost love and respect. They'd come and check on you multiple times which is a rare site in an Indian restaurant, imho.Highly recommend and a must stop if you are craving for Indian food in and around Merced.

Service was great! Well mannered host and server. Food too was amazing! Definitely recommend anyone to go, especially if it's been a long time since you've been here. Ambiance is so welcoming now!

We came here enroute our trip to Yosemite.Amazing food. Great service.We tried appetizers - chicken chilli, panner tikka.Entrees- dal tadka, shahi paneer, chicken karahi, goat curry. Each item was very flavorful. Me being an Indian, all items we tried had the appropriate taste.The servers came to ask us about the taste and spice levels.
