As soon as I walked in I was delighted. With about 30 years of shopping for Indian spices and supplies for a cleanse I teach people to cook, this was the most hospitable, kind and knowledgeable owner and shopping experience I have had both in the USA and in Canada. I was helped to find everything I needed, even though the aisles were clearly stocked.I was happily surprised they had Hing / Asafoetida as this is more rare. The store was tidy, clean and the quality of the spices is high. I was also happy to see the prices were more than reasonable because Canadian conversion rates are an added %30. I will return every time I am in California.

A little consideration, a little thought for others, makes all the difference. -- EeyoreI so love it when a business does everything so well that I'm able to write a High Five-star review. Cousins who live in Folsom, California had contacted us to rave about this Indian grocery store, so off they took us for a try out. Here's a nifty oasis of sensory pleasure with aromatic foreplay for the taste budsService staff graciously answered all our questions promptly which made a good first impression.Did what they're in business to doHas average prices, food that enriches life, a happy selection of spices, and fresh ingredientsCustomer service was above-average. I had my Happiness-Is-Homemade list in hand. An employee spotted it, walked over, introduced themself, offered to show me where everything is, and walked me around to each and every ingredient on my list. That earned 'em another review star for going beyond what they're in in business to do.The owners of this business like their Freedom so they have a Military and Veterans Discount as a thank you to Veterans with a publicly disclosed daily Veteran Discount which provides resource to ensure Veterans (rare 7% of the population) and GIs (rare one-half of one percent of the population) opportunity to participate in American Dream Veterans and GIs' sacrifices have made possible for 100% of the population. That earned 'em another review star for going beyond what they're in in business to do.Truth is the highest virtue, but higher still is truthful living. --Sikh Guru Nanak. Something snollygoster George Santos lacks. This business:Charged the prices postedDelivered what they advertisePlace was clean and organizedAmbiance was professionalNo one here offered to commit fraud to reward us, pay us or compensate us for posting 5 star reviews of this business. We left happier than we arrived. Let no one ever come to you without leaving happier. --Mother TeresaI'll be back. For my Customer Rule is: Always patronize again a business that has treated you well AND supports Veterans and Active Duty with a publicly disclosed daily Military and Veterans Discount.March is Women's History MonthCaptain Allison Jaslow, US Army and 2-tour Iraq war Veteran, graduated from University of Central Missouri and Wentworth Military Academy and Junior College, both of which she attended on ROTC scholarship, before being commissioned into US Army. She currently serves on Board of Directors for Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America, was a founding Director on Board of the 2LT Richard W. Collins III Foundation, and was the first and only woman on Board of Trustees for Wentworth Military Academy. Jaslow is a Term Member of Council on Foreign Relations, a Charter Member of National Parks Conservation Association Veterans Council, and was named both an Aspen Institute Ideas Festival Scholar and Aspen Security Forum Scholar.Jaslow's military awards include Bronze Star Medal and Army Commendation Medal with Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster. She's served on staff of several Members of Congress, and as a White House communications aide. Jaslow's a former Executive Director of Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America "IAVA".In her role as Executive Director of IAVA, Jaslow led national campaign to increase recognition of, and support for, women Veterans. The "She Who Borne the Battle" campaign boldly targeted the Department of Veterans Affairs' woman-exclusive motto.Jaslow--a passionate fighter for the rights, protections and well-being of women GIs and Veterans, said, "The VA's own motto still excludes women: "To care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow, and his orphan." Not only does the motto exclude women Veterans, it also fails to acknowledge survivors of women killed in action. Congress and the Administration refuses to modernize the VA motto. I'm very committed to being seen and heard, so that our nation supports women Veterans and women in the military as we should. The single greatest barrier to women Veterans is recognition. People literally don't think of a woman who looks like me when they imagine an Iraq War Veteran, which leaves many women Veterans feeling invisible. And as we know, when you're invisible, you can be ignored."That's all something I as a woman Veteran have routinely experienced for fifty years, and continue to experience.Jaslow says, "With less than 1/2 of 1% of Americans Serving in uniform since 9/11, compared with 12% during World War II, I'm motivated in large part by just simply making sure those who Serve or have Served aren't overlooked and misunderstood. We have Troops in harm's way in Afghanistan, Iraq, Syria, Yemen, Somalia, Libya, Niger, other places. How often do you see them in the news? Not nearly enough."Jaslow was named the new CEO of IAVA giving the organization its first female leader and making her the first openly gay individual to lead a major US Veterans' organization.

Love this little Indian store, has a great variety of products and really nice organic brands available I.e. Dwarka and 24 Mantra. Fresh produce; onions, potatoes, ginger, cilantro, tomatoes & curry leaves. Customer service is awesome, super helpful offering product knowledge and willing to listen to feedback and product requests. Products have pricing which is a plus.

It was everything other reviewers said. Clean, organized and a store clerk that's friendly and very helpful.I've been lost in the past in another local store. Reading every product trying to find the things I need. The young man here was happy to see my list and happy to help me find what I needed. What a relaxing trip. What a delicious dinner we had tonight with all the spices.

This is the exact experience you want when going to a small grocer. I don't have too much knowledge or experience with indian food ingredients but the lady (who i assume to be the owner) was really pleasant and nice in helping me find things and making suggestions to the dish I was attempting to make. There's a lot of stuff but it's organized so it's not overwhelming at all.

A friend recommended this Indian grocery store to me. I have been to other Indian groceries in the area but the one I liked the most closed. I lovedthis store! It was so incredibly clean! I needed some cumin seeds and urad dal, and they were fresh and clean! I'd bought some Spicely brand cumin seeds from Amazon that were dirty and even included some pebbles. The new owner and the prior owner were in the store, as she had just sold the business to her friend. The new owner was very friendly and helpful (much appreciated since this is not my culture). I can tell the owner really takes pride in buying high quality ingredient. I'm going back today -- the coriander seeds I bought online were disgusting -- and I'd need a few more items.
