I last played TG&CC about 15 years ago during a tournament when it was still a members only club. Back then, this place was in pretty pristine condition and it was a pleasure to play here. Great fairways and the water had a cool blue hue color to it. Fast forward to present day and this place has really become dilapidated. Coming through the gate, the asphalt driveway is falling apart and there is a bunch of gravel/rocks on the road. Not what one would expect driving into a country club. We booked a 9am tee time on a Tuesday and we had no trouble checking in. Prob shot is very small, but has any last minute essentials you may need. It was $53 with a cart, which is pretty steep for the current condition of the golf course. TG&CC has a driving range, putting and chipping practice area. When we hit the course, I was surprised to see how bad the fairways are. It's winter and they are very dead looking with a bunch of rough areas. Some of the bunkers are not even sand and appeared to be filled with a fine dirt. The water was stagnant on some holes and had a bad smell. The only thing that was in good condition were the greens. The snack shop is at the opposite end on the north side of Interstate 5. It is somewhere around hole 10 or 11. There are bars all over the windows, presumably because it's in the middle of nowhere. They offer some of the typical snacks. A chicken wrap, hotdog and hot link are also on the menu. I opted for the hot link. It was basically a huge white bread roll that was so big, it needed two links. Instead, it had one small link which was pretty disappointing for $8. At the end of your round, there is a full bar staffed with a bartender. There were advertisements for Speer bbq, but I didn't see their days/hours anywhere. Outside of my above complaints, it will fulfill your desire to just play the game if these things don't bother you. However, there are far better places to play in the same price point.

I've always driven by this golf course on my travels up and down the five and decided to give it a try with my sister who's new to golf. We found the staff at check in was most pleasant and we got out on time. The fairways were in fairly good shape, but the greens were great all in all. We had a good time and were pleasantly surprised at how good the food was at restaurant Café.One thing you might want to pay attention to if you play this course, as the signage is rather confusing as to where to drive to the next hole, so be prepared to ask other golfers directions other than that, we're gonna come back and play it again !

A friend in Tracy was having a BBQ at his place and my golfing friends wanted to play around the area. They found the Tracy GCC for $45 a person with cart. Honestly even though it was only an hours drive to the course, it was definitely in a different part of the Bay Area. I have not driven past or visited that area for quite a number of years. Interestingly the course is found on both sides of the 580 freeway, with very few houses around. It was a pro shop and restaurant/bar and parking lot whish made it seem quaint. The staff was friendly even though the guy at the pro shop was probably new. Our tee time was 11:40 am which was on one of the hottest days of the summer. By the time we left the course at about 3:30 pm, it was 107F according to my car's thermometer. We made sure we purchased lots of water and Gatorade with bags of ice to stay hydrated. The course itself was similar to a muni, with the fairways being patchy at spots but the greens were firm and pretty quick. The fairways were also a little narrower with a lot of trees which also provided nice shady spots.Overall I did have an enjoyable time and completed the course in 3.5 hours. There was no one in front or behind us for about 2 holes. Should the opportunity for visiting Tracy comes up, I would visit the course again.I

Course is in rough shape. Tons of hard packed dirt, scrub, fairways are not in good shape. Wouldn't mind if it was a little cheaper, but was $74 per person with cart. Too much for a course in such condition.

I found The Tracy Golf and Country Club a mixed bag. Historically, (established in 1955) the engineering and landscape design shows a once very cool country club. There are a few tee boxes secluded by shrubs, a few nice staircases to elevated tees, and water hazards with nice-looking brick surroundings. Then, there are areas of the fairways and tee boxes where a lack of maintenance is obvious. It appears that this club once was a very elite location, but for unknown reasons, membership fell and maintenance suffered.Overall, the greens were smooth and fast, the bunkers were raked and in good condition. However, the fairways and tee boxes could use some maintenance. The staff were polite and friendly. the chef/waitress was fantastic.Staff mentioned that this time of year (Q1) they aerate and seed the course. However, looking at the numerous dirt/dead grass patches, it would seem a little more landscape maintenance would do the trick. The course sits on both sides of I580, so be careful not to snap hook a shot on a few holes as you may hit a car. After our round, we went to the restaurant and ordered lunch and coffee. The meal was delicious and reasonably priced. The cook/waitress was terrific.Overall, the Tracy Golf and Country Club is worth a visit. It would be nice to give it a second round before summer to see if the fairways and tee boxes improve.

First of all lower the green fees. Keeping them high because you are the only course in town is not cool at all. Wanted $60 solo fee to walk the course without cart or pushcart. Been golfing here since 2015, back then the fairways were cared about, not so much anymore. This place is looking drier and drier every year looking less and less like a country club and more like a local muni course. The aesthetics of the course need some major changes if you're taking this much money from people. Hire more groundskeepers

TG&CC was a disappointing and didn't have the country club experience, staff was friendly though, course just wasn't maintained, confusing to find out where the next hole was, bunkers were basically mud, green fees are super high for a mediocre course. The halfway house on hole 10/11 only takes cash. Overall the course needs far more care.

Decent experience, range mats need work. Book later in the day, paying the full morning rate is not worth it

To call this place a country club would be laughable. The driving range consists of a bunch of mats that feel like painted over concrete. The course is in pretty rough shape as well. I would say that 20 to 25 dollars would be a more reasonable price to play 18 with a cart here. The worst part was the pace of play. They pack in the tee times and there is not a course marshall to be seen. We were waiting 15 to 20 minutes at each tee block to tee off. I won't play here again and I wouldn't recommend you do either at 75 bucks a person.

Disappointed with this golf course.Forgot one of my club on the field.Went back to look, it was gone. The front office said they will call to let me know but never did. Would be nice if they just call regardless of the club was found/returned.I see why it's has low rating.... They have thieves on the course.
