I found TJ on YELP and I'm glad I did. He is helping me "re-discover" my better self. I spent about 15 years deeply involved in triathlon, including 9 Ironman races. I was about as fit as one could get. After giving the sport up and moving to the country, I lost much of my fitness. I also found that my knees and shoulders were limiting me on what I could do (or so I thought). I was looking for someone who could work with me to get me back on a fitness path, based on some limitations due to being older and the knee/shoulder "thing". I also love the fact that he comes to me, rather then me having to go to a gym.I've been working with TJ since early October. He is working with me to come up with exercises that are perfect for me (based on my goals and inputs - which is nice - he listens and researches). We are focusing on Upper Body, Lower Body and Core. I travel a lot, and he is picking exercises that are easy to do on the road. He is suggesting cardio activities to go along with these as well as proper diet. I know I am getting stronger and fitter. Exercises from our earlier sessions are becoming easier. I love the results I am seeing. And best of all, TJ seems genuinely interested in me and the progress I am making. No matter your age or fitness level - TJ will listen to you and develop a program specific to your goals.

I've been training with TJ for several months and he is hands down the best trainer I've come across. He makes your personal goals into his own and puts all his resources to good use to ensure accomplishment. TJ goes above and beyond to provide and teach you all the vital details to sustaining and maintaining a healthy lifestyle while performing proper exercises. TJ is the best personal trainer I've ever had! His excitement, drive and intensity are infectious and make you strive to do better every time whether you're meeting personally with him during a session or working out in-between on your own. He comes to me!! That's huge because it saves me driving time and I don't have to pay for a gym membership if I don't want to. We normally meet at my house but he's happy to meet anywhere. My 3 young sons love it when TJ comes over for a session because they can show off their "exercises" as well and TJ is super-encouraging. I love it because it's instilling in them a love of health and fitness at an early age--something I didn't get growing up.Everyone has goals and they'll change over time. But, TJ makes your goals, "HIS" goals--and not just on a superficial, "you're my client so I have to do this" kinda way. He actually takes on the responsibility and work of walking with you through the process of achieving those goals in every way he can.He's more than just a "Certified Personal Trainer"--those are a dime a dozen. In helping you reach your goals he takes on the role of a "Life & Wellness Coach" as well. He provides detailed meal plans taking into account your specific goals, your tastes, your budget and your family. He creates workout plans/schedules for you for the off-days as well and while they're challenging, he realizes that it's a process and it's so rewarding when you're able to successfully complete a session without taking any extra breaks. He holds you accountable in completely non-threatening ways and never "shames" you. He strives to support you mentally as well as physically--constantly offering encouragement and support. If you're out to dinner and not sure which is the better meal choice, just text him and he'll give you advice. You'll get fitness-anatomy lessons while you work out.
