The Wild Idol Saloon

Came here to shoot some pool. They only have 1 pool table, which is fine because patrons are nice and take turns.The bartenders are always sweet and quick. Nice little hole in the wall where the locals hang out and grab a drink.

on Sunday May 1st around pm because the long haired brunette lady bartender had an issue with serving ladies , each time one of our lady chapter members went up order a drink we all were purposely ignored and served all the men first including men that approach the bar after we had been standing there. Also when I spoke to a man who was sitting at the bar he said that is why he was up there because she ignores all the women and he needed to get a drink for his lady. This is messed up because you give me good service and you will get good tips but the man at the bar gave her nothing which is what she deserves. I however did give 2 dollars that she did not deserve. This is bad for business might want to consider hiring a more pleasant bartender who don't discriminate women. When our chapter rolls in, there are a lot of us. As there were only 14 of us this time and We spend a lot of money. Not a wise choice to do this to us. We have other establishments that will treat us all with respect including the women. Strike 1

We enjoyed a good time here for Thursday night karaoke! I was particularly impressed with the friendly people, a few of them even made a point to come over and introduce themselves to us... obvious newcomers. Karaoke is with Charlie, who is a nice KJ and well organized. Expect new singers to be merged into the existing list, as well as some filler (dance) songs. Be sure to let him know if you want to sing again. The dude before me got dropped from the list, even though he never left. (Don't worry, he still got to sing again.) Bonus: This was the first time I've had the pleasure of seeing a cowboy work a pole. Pretty sure it wasn't his first time... or he's just a natural.

Love this dive bar...!!Since moving to the area from the the Oakland Montclair area...., we were trying to find a place that was open late and offered some good people, great bartenders and a fun place to hang out.The Wild Idol Saloon, hits on all three areas.... and some.On Thursday nights, they have karaoke from 8:30 til 12:30. The place is usually packed with friendly locals, who love to sing karaoke.The KAROKE DJ is a guy named "CHARLIE ".DJ CHARLIE, also is a good singer and harmonica player. In between, the KARAOKE singers, DJ CHARLIE KEEPS THE PLACE JUMPING WITH THE LATEST TOP 40 AND R&B DANCING TUNES.The two bartenders, DEBBIE & RACHEL, are the best. They keep the drinks coming and you never have to wait long for a refill.On THURSDAY NIGHTS , their is also some type of free food on the table and you can pig out, until it is all gone.On FRIDAY AND SATURDAY, they have some great live music. The Blues bands that are booked , have all been really good.Everyone is always extremely friendly and it has became our favorite hangout, especially on Thursday karaoke nights.The one change I would love to see, is that they change the karaoke times from 9pm to 1am.The 8:30 start time for karaoke is early, for the people who have to commute.The traffic can be pretty bad coming in on highway 4 from work, especially if you work out of the area. I have met some karaoke folks who drive down from SACRAMENTO, STOCKTON, and MODESTO, and they all say that the traffic getting to BRYON can be a challenge.If you are looking for some Thursday night fun, with great bartenders, a fun DJ, and good people, THEN THE WILD IDOL IS YOUR SPOT..IT IS THE BEST BAR ON THE BYRON, DISCOVERY BAY AREA..!!!!

Great place, what else needs to be said. Ten or twelve years ago I had the pleasure of being the manager of the band that helped reopen the Wild Idol. Ruff Kutt was the band and we had one hell of a good time playing there. I think it's about time I paid the Idol a visit. Yes I do believe so.

Live bands that play very danceable music. Large sized dance floor, nice large park setting outside to talk, relax or cool down from dancing. You can also smoke and enjoy a drink in there outdoor area as well. Nice bar good beer and good service!

This couldn't be a better place to hold an after funeral party for a dearly departed friend. The friend loved motorcycles and hanging out with family. We all came down to enjoy some bbq, some drinks, music and a beautiful day to remember her.I was incredibly impressed by the location. We had out door seating and grass area to meet and mingle. There was room for the caterer to set up tables and we all lined up to get some bbq.The drinks are stiff and not to expensive. All of the bartenders were very friendly. Bring your cash but they do have an atm for your convenience.We were here for a after funeral reception but I would have any type of party here. I think you could even throw a baby shower here if you felt so inclined. One of the better event spaces Ive had the pleasure of enjoying.

Friendly bartenders, a big open dance floor, patio out back, decent pours on shots, acres of parking and a saloon custom made for people watching are reasons to GPS Byron and discover this place for yourself. Biker bar? Nah, maybe once upon a time but not in 2017

Told me they close at 10 then kicked me out at 9:20 and ran off to party at some other bar :/ i couldn't even finish my drink. Why?
