I came to the Seasons for a wedding last weekend (ceremony only) It seems extremely strange to me that they do ceremonies outside by McHenry...we could hear cars driving past (which wasn't too bad) but add on the stereo place next door and you've got a recipe for disaster. They blared music during the brides vows for a solid minute. It was extremely awkward. The place seems a little old and run down, but if you like the older styled weddings this might be the place for you.

We're a non profit organization in Stanislaus county and we had our annual scholarship fundraiser event there recently in August 2018. The decor, room ambiance and food was excellent. The staff were excellent to work with and very accommodating. The drinks at the bar were good & everyone commented on how beautiful the setting was. There is plenty of parking and convenient location in central Modesto and close by to hotels for out of towners.

One word...Wow! That is how I feel about my first experience at The Seasons. I had the pleasure of attending The School Bell Awards on Friday evening at The Seasons. Each district in Stanislaus County (except for Modesto) selected two recipients to receive this honor. Representatives from congressmen and senators' offices were present to congratulate each awardee.I entered the courtyard complete with garden lights prior to entering the building. After presenting my ticket, I entered the main room. Again, wow. The room was huge and decorated in a very elegant manner. A map of tables was located so I knew where to find my colleagues. Dinner was a buffet of chicken marsala, beef, green beans, mashed potatoes (so creamy and yummy), mixed greens with a raspberry vinaigrette and bread. Everything was very tasty. For dessert we had our choice of mango cheesecake, chocolate mousse torte or key lime pie. Decisions decisions! The staff did an excellent job of making sure the food was plentiful, keeping water glasses filled and clearing plates. I was very impressed with the lovely decorations, delicious food and wonderful service. I look forward to future opportunities to attend events at The Seasons! ;)

We were very impressed with Seasons. We had to find a venue within a week due to the weather and we got lucky. They had a room available. Worked with Carlos initially and he was more than helpful getting everything lined up in such a short notice. Later worked with Dora and I can honestly say that these two work well together and are very friendly and professional. They were very accommodating especially since we were running around crazy trying to put together a wedding and reception within a few days. Everything worked out great. Guests were impressed with the room and staff that helped out. (Note: We only rented the room and hired one staff member for set up and clean up and one bartender. So I cannot comment on their dinner prep or serving ) But everything thing else was great. Rates were good and staff was perfect. Highly recommend! Great job Carlos, Dora and staff!

Went to Seasons for youth football awards dinner, and by the time our table was due to get in line for dinner they ran out of food. All that was left was mashed potatoes and bread. $30.00 for a mash potato dinner. Very poor organization. You would think they would offer a refund but no. Sorry my first impression was terrible. not interested in ever returning (ever)Don't waste your time or money on this place.

I attended a wedding at this venue last weekend. I was very surprised by the interior of the building, impressive for Modesto!! The Bride & Groom had an open bar at the reception, and warned us beforehand to coordinate sober drivers and advised us NOT TO LEAVE any cars in the parking lot overnight. The Seasons is nice, but out of place with its location in Modesto. There were several reasons I gave this place 3 stars:When the wedding party arrived on friday afternoon to setup decorations, a lady approached us from the office. She said, "I'm from San Jose, and I know people from Modesto don't really think about this, but you should move your guests into the courtyard after the ceremony." WOW!! Ok, well I'm from the bay area too - so I'm not sure what her point was with that comment. And she clearly wasn't thinking too well herself because it was 101 degrees outside, who wants to put their guests outside in the heat?? She was crying in her office watching Whitney Houston youtube videos so maybe she was just having one of those days. Then there was a guy setting up the bar area while we were decorating, and he was SOOOO grumpy. After one of the chefs brought out glasses & iced water - he had a hissy fit about the glasses and stomped out with some plastic cups. Then he removed all of our glasses & made us pour new waters. Sorry for the inconvenience pal!! He also did not want us using the trash at the edge of the bar, so he loudly announced that we may use another trash can that he placed at the doors to the Grand Ballroom. Once again, sorry for the inconvenience. Everyone got a bad vibe from him, he could improve with customer interaction skills or they should keep him away from others.I found several chargers that were already placed on the reception tables with dried food stuck on them. I don't think the chargers were cleaned very well either because a lot of them had food and oil residue on the underside. The projection system at the Season's is a joke. I'm pretty sure the projector is designed for a standoff distance of 20-30 feet. That is not how the Seasons set it up. The projector is aimed at a wall about 60 feet away. What does this mean?? Oh, that any video you are showing is extremely out of focus with horrible resolution and black spots across the screen. Very bad idea. On the decorating day, nobody even knew how to use the projector so we could test the video & sound. This was a huge disappointment, especially considering all the time and effort to produce a high-resolution video and sound slideshow for the guests. You couldn't even make out faces in the photos. Hopefully someone will fix this, otherwise why even bother using the system?

The venue was really nice and accommodating for a large group. Dinner seemed a bit rushed. The food was good. The worst part of it all was waiting on those over priced drinks full of ice. For large groups, the bar brings there rating down as well as professionalism from some of the staff.!

Attended a family wedding Nov. 17, 2018. The event was inside the large main room the facility offers. Everything was great, the layout of tables, the staff seemed able and courteous. Until towards the evening I went to the bar and found two bar staff employees eating, really shocked. Made mention of this to the people at my table we agreed it was unacceptable behavior for a staff members to eat during an event. What does this show in respect to all the celebrating people invited. We were discouraged by this entirely. Does this happen at all events?
