The Hot Pastrami and Roast Beef Sandwiches are Fire!! Very Delicious! They are very gracious with the portions of proteins of meats they put in their Sandwiches, you don't feel scrimped.. The Sandwiches come with 1/4 quarter of pickle and green Peppers on the side.. The Chill is on point! very Tasty! This is my new go to spot in Modesto! I usually get my Sandwiches to go.. but they have a nice Spacious setup on the inside of The Sandwiches Shop for people want to eat their meal there. My Go-To in MoTown!

Been a min since I was here. But yes it is still Bomb AF! They were a little busy, but the service was great. And pretty quick for as busy as they were. I have the French Dip! OMGoodness, thick and delicious! The wife had the Club. Dam thing was huge. Thank you for another great lunch. You guys rock! I highly recommend you stop by and grab a bite. Well worth the wait and money!

Search up this sandwich shop by me and it look and sounds good got the Modesto sandwich pastrami and roast beef, when I got my sandwich didn't know it would be mush by the mushroom it got the bread soggy and it was heard to eat, it can get busy during lunch parking can be a challenge the workers were really nice D was very helpful and nice but I wish they can serve the Modesto sandwich without being soggy

Second time eating here. Their sandwiches hit the spot and they make HUGE sandwiches. The lady at the counter was very nice and welcoming. Their 2 meat combo was 12.00 and as you can see two people can easily share. I can only finish one half. There is plenty of parking but I can see it becoming full as this place does get crowded during lunch. I had to park next door as the parking lot was full. There is plenty of tables inside for eating and they have a great kids menu too! Looking forward to trying their other meats.

I've been coming here for years. Always great food and customer service, and a pickle on the side.This time I did order thru Yelp and the prices were increased, so don't order off Yelp, the increased prices are from Yelp not The Sandwich Shop. This place is straight flame. It's has a basic deli feel but the hot pastrami, called the Modesto Special, is nothing basic! It's total perfection! I drive from two cities over, nearly 20 miles, just to eat it!Today I had the hot Pastrami Modesto Special, a bowl of potato soup, jalapeño chips, and a large Dr Pepper. The total was $30.00 including a $4.25 tip. The potato soup came out first. It was lukewarm, and tasted fairly plain. I don't think I would order that again. My sandwich was taking quite a while to come out so I went up to the register to check on it. Apparently she got busy and forgot. Not my favorite response but at least she was honest and owned it. We're all human. I get that. No worries, life happens. My sandwich was ready a few minutes later. It was pretty good, but just not the same level of epic I have came to expect from this place. I'm not exactly sure what was different, but something was for sure. I enjoyed it but it wasn't anything to write home about. I know this place can do so much better! I guess today just wasn't their day.

Parking is a challenge, but there is plenty of seating. A good menu selection, surprisingly including beer! The turkey in my sandwich was plentiful and quite fresh! The staff members were helpful and clearly used to working at a fast pace.

Living in Modesto for so long and had never been here. I got the turkey club and wife had the pastrami sandwich. Both sandwiches were huge, they do not hold back in the meat, bread is of great quality and we will definitely come back. We usually drive all the way to Oakdale for a good pastrami sandwich, we will continue to do that as that is better meat but this place is pretty good. Cool layout and service was pretty good. This part of town is kind of hard to get to as far as street layout so that is a bit annoying but we will be back.
