This place is so dang boring. I've never had sucky unenthusiastic dealers and management ever, I've been to some real dumpy casinos in my time and this place was like everyone was pissedbm off and irritated cause I wanted to play 3 card poker, I guess business is that good when u can indirectly let people know they don't want you there n never come back.....

Parking sucks, foods not that good, doesn't look or feel like a palace at all, limited on choices of games, the no limit table is a minimum 200 and an unlimited max, people go in there with thousands of dollars and play any two cards, weak promotions, weak tournaments, waste of time

I've gambled here for years and understand with gambling comes losses and comes wins but I've never felt like I did today. I was completely disrespecte today by a dealer at the 3 card poker table. She was slamming my cads down every time and when I did win a hand she shoved my chips at me like she was upset I won a hand. One time she got mad I played a extra hand in front of the player she new personally because they were talking in their language the whole time. I won the hand and she look at me sideways cuz the other lady lost.I asked for my chips she looked at them grab them and slams them in front of me. I will never play here again I will take my business to the Oak's for now on. Completely unacceptable and feel extremely disrespected thanks palace

The Palace is a cool place to play cards, if you are used to casinos. This card room does not cater to the casual player, it's more for hard core gamblers. Pretty no nonsense, the room has several poker tables, as well blackjack and pai gow tiles. If you want to tip your toe in the gambling world, there is a 9:00 AM daily poker tournament. Even if you don't show up on time, they will seat you until 10:00 AM. Most days, the entry fee is only $40.00, with a $20.00 add-on. It's a pretty inexpensive way to try your hand at poker. The dealers are pretty friendly, and the floor staff is also very courteous. And the cafe makes a mean breakfast, which is good if you make the tourney. They don't have their own parking lot, but there is a garage 2 blocks north on Mission and B. There is even a shuttle to take you from the garage to the casino. If you are used to the glitz and glamour of the Las Vegas Strip, then don't bother coming here. The Palace is all about the cards and not much else... perfect for the hustler in all of us.

So I've been coming to this casino for years just because I live in the area but every time I come here I either have a really bad experience with the dealers and their attitudes or I have a bad experience with the policies and the lack of staff. On this particular occasion I was playing for a couple of hours and decided it was time for me to leave. I had more than doubled my money but for some reason when I tried to cash out the cashiers cage was closed and the cashier was out to lunch. When I asked the other pit bosses if I could cash out with them they told me no they didn't have that much money and that I needed to wait until the cashier returned from lunch. Well I'm not gonna stand around for a half an hour twiddling my thumbs so of course I sat back down at the table and while waiting a half an hour for them to return from their lunch break I ended up putting back all my winnings. Never have I felt like a hostage at a casino but this place sure does make you feel like the scum of the earth when you can't cash in your chips for the hard earned cash that you brought here gamble with. I'll be staying away from this dump! I'm pretty sure there aren't any casinos in the bay area that don't have enough staff on hand to make sure the cashier cage stays open when there are players in the casino.

I visited Palace Poker today with high hopes for a fun day of cards and a chance to sharpen my poker skills as a novice in-person poker player. I have played exclusively online, so I hoped to start learning at a smaller casino. In many ways, the casino delivered on this expectation, but one unfortunate encounter with a substitute dealer cast a shadow over what could have been a near-perfect outing. From the moment I walked in, I could tell that Palace Poker and Casino strongly emphasized customer comfort. I was greeted warmly by the front desk, and before long, I was seated at a table with a diverse group of players--some seasoned regulars and others like me, still learning the ropes. The initial dealer was pleasant and patient with my slower pace, especially when I had to double-check my bets or confirm the rules. This immediately made me feel at ease, which is essential for someone new to the game.Midway through my session, a substitute dealer named Lisa stepped in. Immediately, her demeanor contrasted starkly with the welcoming vibe I had experienced up until that point. She seemed visibly annoyed whenever I paused to think about my next move, and she was quick to point out any small mistakes--often in a tone that felt more reprimanding than instructional. This happened with most of my hands, which led me to conclude that there was some level of intent on her end. As a beginner, making a few missteps is part of the learning curve, and having a dealer who reacts with frustration rather than patience can be quite off-putting.Adding to the tension, she openly commented that I had not been tipping her. While I fully understand and respect tipping etiquette, tips should reflect quality service or a courteous demeanor. Unfortunately, her harsh attitude and constant criticism drained any willingness I might have had to tip. Rather than easing up on the negativity, she doubled down, making snide remarks that I could overhear, which only heightened my discomfort. The final straw was when Lisa left the table and sarcastically thanked everyone for being great--"Well, except for some of you," calling me out in front of the other players. It felt like a pointed and unnecessary jab that left the table in an awkward hush. I considered speaking to management about the incident. However, I decided against it in the moment because I was trying to mentally recover so that the incident did not affect my decision-making in the game. I tried to empathize, thinking perhaps she was having a rough day--though I still believe such behavior is unacceptable for a grown adult. She even told the next dealer to "make sure he wins," with his response being, "Got it. Thanks for the information." Which was code between them for this patron sucks/doesn't tip.Shortly after they departed, the next dealer who arrived was a breath of fresh air - polite, approachable, and notably patient with my learning process. This dealer took the time to guide me through some specific betting rules, such as how to bet during Kill pots, and never made me feel rushed or foolish for asking questions, underbetting, etc. The stark contrast between this dealer and Lisa was impossible to ignore. It underlined the importance of a friendly, supportive approach, especially when dealing with players still building their confidence at the table. What is more, I had a decent run throughout the night, even finding myself up by around $300 at one point. Under normal circumstances, that would have been a highlight to celebrate, but my experience with Lisa lingered in my mind. It is unfortunate that one individual's attitude overshadowed an otherwise enjoyable time out.Palace Poker and Casino has many potential positive qualities going for it. I was impressed by how quickly I was seated, especially compared to other casinos I have visited. The décor, lighting, and overall energy of the room were conducive to serious play and casual enjoyment. I felt like I was in a more intimate setting rather than a more chaotic Vegas/WSOP setting that you see at larger casinos. With the notable exception of Lisa, the dealers and floor managers I encountered were polite, attentive, and professional. However, I am left with mixed feelings because of her unprofessional behavior. While I have not issued a formal complaint, I hope the casino's management notes how detrimental one bad encounter can be to a guest's experience. If I decide to return in the future, I will undoubtedly make a point to avoid Lisa's table (or leave if she is coming to relieve a dealer for a break). One final note: I am truly sorry I forgot the name of the dealer who was so patient and supportive after Lisa left; he deserves recognition for his kindness, but my mind was still rattled from the earlier exchange. Other players at the table directly praised him for being supportive and informative. Thanks for bringing back the positive vibe to the table!
