The Kids Train

ripped off robbed. drove by my house with kids booked them for our church event. took my money and never showed up.

I don't believe this company still exists. Their phone number is my xfinity voice number and I have been getting recent calls to rent a train. When you call the number or visit the website it does not exist. If the owner sees this it to your best interest to update your contact info so people can contact you, or inform the internet you no longer do business or provide this service. For those looking for a cool train for a kids party I wish I could help you, but unfortunately I do not own a train (cool idea though).

The only reason why I'm giving this person a 1 star is because he never answered our request or got back to us. My husband also try emailing him to see if he would answer him, and off course he didn't. I needed his service for my sons 3rd birthday party so it's upsetting.

Sad they do not serve the Peninsula even though customers will probably use them a lot more due to the tech company salaries. But oh well we didn't get to try them. Bummed we are too far out. Maybe they need to state which city they service in on the website to prevent high hopes. Quick response on email. Thanks patches.

We just used "The Kids Train" for our daughter's 3rd birthday party at our home in Contra Costa County... IT WAS A HIT!!!! from the moment the train arrived (drove up with the whistles blowing) every kid went crazy!!!! He picked all the kids up in front of our house and drove around our neighborhood using the bike lane... each ride was between 5-10 minutes and then he would bring them all back, reload and take off again... Highly recommend using "Patches" and his train... less expensive than a bounce house and more original... the parents were raving to us what a great idea and how much fun all their kids had on the train... we will use him again for sure!!!!

Tried to book his service for my little girl's 3rd Birthday Party. Received the following email response, "So sorry your location does not work for the kids train. Thanks ~Patches~". I obviously took a look at his website & all of the information I could review online before emailing him. On his website he clearly states that he serves the SF Bay Area, excluding the inner city of San Jose, SF & Oakland. Since I don't live in any of those cities & have quite a bit of open land on my property, as well as living at the end of an untraveled court, I was a bit confused by his response, but certainly not interested in begging. Rather, I thought his service would make an interesting addition to the ponies, petting zoo, caricature artist, & face painter we had. Also, I was a bit tentative since there were a few negative reviews posted regarding his lack of responsiveness in communicating & confirming contract dates. Oh well! Everything happens the way it should in the end.

I tried to book for our preschool's summer kickoff, unfortunately they were booked, for all the dates I needed. They did refer me to another company which was also unavailable

Is this business still open? I have tried calling and emailing with no luck for the past week.

I cannot day enough amazing things about patches!!! This was the second year in a row we had him at our daughters birthday and he was amazing! The kids loved the train and bubbles and patches! I appreciate that patches takes extra care to ensure the surprise. The train is set up out of sight and arrives at the front door fully assembled and ready to go! Patches was very accommodating, calm and kind! The kids loved it! Absolutely recommend him again and again!!

The Kids Train was such a hit! Patches was so easy to work with. I was a little worried there was no official contract but Patches confirmed ahead of time and kept to the date and time set without any issues. It was such a magical moment for the kids when we saw and heard the train pull up in front of the house. The train rides themselves were so fun and it was such a great surprise when bubbles started floating from the front of the train to the back. The kids were in awe and the adults had fun too! The neighbors started gathering and taking pictures and video too. It was a perfect activity for our train themed first birthday party!I would highly recommend the Kids Train for any child event! What fun!
