We walked in as a party of 9 after searching yelp for a dog friendly restaurant- the yelp does say dog friendly. The staff then said no dogs allowed sorry, when I mentioned the yelp page says dog friendly he said "yes outside". We did end up staying but my sister had to sit in the car with her dog until her food was ready which was a let down. Food was decent, pizza was on the more burnt side and we did not eat. The sandwich was amazing. All portions were really big, apps came out quick, food a tad longer wait. Cocktail selection was ok, wine selection was wonderful. The bread pudding was the star of the evening. Cute vibes inside!

It's probably a must to check out Dancing Fox if you're ever in downtown Lodi. My most recent visit I discovered that they offer complimentary tastings for anyone that's dining in. I've also been here during Wine and Chocolate and the back area was packed. There was also food being served for those participating. Overall it's a great time! The wine is good too! Lots of different options for those looking for something specific. I was surprised at the mulled wine they had and how good it was!

I don't go to Lodi too often but when I do, I enjoy going to the Dancing Fox for lunch. Each visit, while still enjoyable, makes me less inclined to continue to rave about this place. What's still true, is the whimsical and cozy ambiance and variety of interesting salads, wraps, sandwiches and wood fired pizzas. However, I find the service to be a bit lacking. On my last visit, our food took nearly 45 minutes (2 sandwiches) and the place was only about 1/4 full. I realize they do move at a slower pace here but our server didn't even check in on us that whole time. It's still somewhere I'd encourage you try while in Lodi but arrive with plenty of time on your hands.Overall, 4 stars for the food and atmosphere but down a star on service.

The restaurant is located on a major thoroughfare in Lodi. Street parking is available and wasn't too hard to find. The main room in the restaurant is pretty spacious and I understand that there is also a separate private dining room just behind the bar. The restaurant serves pretty standard fare (sandwiches, salads, wood oven pizzas, etc) for lunch and dinner offerings, various beers on tap and and s nice selection of wines harvested in-house. I was there with my coworkers for an end of year celebration and we coordinated a wine tasting and appetizers prior to dinner. We ordered spicy fried calamari and bruschetta prior to dinner and both items were super fresh and good. Our wine selections included both white and reds and were also really good ! The restaurant also offers bottle purchase and wine subscription. We spoke briefly with the owner who gave us the history of the restaurant and his prior work in the wine industry. Our team ordered various dishes - chicken pot pie, pasta Alfredo dish w/ shrimp, etc.. I ordered teriyaki salmon with forbidden black rice and seasonal vegetables. Overall service was really good and we spent a few hours there without even realizing it. Nice restaurant for small/large groups. Order some good food and grab a few bottles of wine and enjoy !

We were in the Sacramento area and suddenly had an evening free so we figured we'd drive down and see what Lodi had to offer. Sadly, at 6pm on a weekday, the answer was not a lot (vacationers plan better...). But we did find Dancing Fox and loved the wine and dessert we were able to order while sitting on a lovely outdoor patio! The waitstaff were kind and attentive, even though shifts were ending, and they were quick with a recommendation.

Another spot I've been wanting to try for a minute. Arrived at @dancingfoxwinery for some lunch at around 1:30. No wait only a few patrons inside and out. We started off with some deliciously fresh bruschetta. I ordered a Scrimshaw brew from the North Coast Brewery in Fort Bragg to wash it down. Cold, light , and refreshing! I had 2 thank you. They make their own bread here I heard. Good solid menu! I chose the mushroom Swiss burger and it was made to order with a great amount of cheese, red onions and mushrooms. Schmack! I added some pickles that were on the side. One of the best versions I've ever had! The burger was fresh and tasty and the house made bun was perfect. We shared the bread pudding which was a very good choice also. I'd definitely come again and might check their brunch on any given Sunday! I heard good things and now you have too. Shekkitout!

We went in for a wine tasting, stayed for lunch, and had such good food and service that we decided to come back for their Valentine's Day 4-course meal. The family owned restaurant has a very cute theme and makes it's own wines. The quality of the food was great and the wine tasting was fun and low-key. The host was friendly and knowledgeable without being pretentious. Maybe it was the good food, maybe it was the abundant wine, maybe it was the friends we made along the way, but we definitely enjoyed the Dancing Fox.
