The Brevia Inn

This place is not a very good place to stay. The phone nor the television works. You have to pay 3.00 for wifi. And there is no bathtub. This place is horrible. Also there is not a remotefor the tv and the air conditioning sucks.

This is the worst place to stay ever. If your looking for a dirty hooked motel then the Brevia is for you. The room had no working furnace yet it was so hot even the window fully open didn't help cool it down. I would avoid this place at all costs. IT SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN AND CONDEMNED! !

First, we came upon this place because our GPS directed us here when we were looking for a Motel 6 to spend the night in on our way home so it's obvious we were not looking for anything fancy - just a clean place to stay for the night. Upon arriving we saw a sign that said "Under New Management" and that it was not a Motel 6 but The Brevia Inn. There were no cars in the parking lot, a little weird for a Friday night and for a place just off of 1-5 Hwy. We thought the place was no longer in business but noticed someone on the second floor hanging around outside smoking and the lights on in the office. Admittedly,the area looked a bit rough and the building did indeed look a bit rundown. The swimming pool was closed and looked as though it had been closed for some time. The shrubbery was all overgrown and the grounds looked unkempt. The clerk was friendly enough and though the place looked "ify" we were tired after several hours of driving and took the chance. That was mistake. We were first turned off to find out that there was a 20 dollar deposit for each room in addition to room cost but those funds would be released 48 hours later. There are 6 in our family so we checked into two connecting rooms on the first floor. Upon entering the rooms, we noticed that the decor was similar to some of the older Motel 6 motif - turns out the place used to be a Motel 6. The floors in both rooms looked warped in some places and there was lots of dust in the heating/cooling vents. The floor in our bathroom has crumbs and dust on the floor in the corners and under the sink looking as though it was not swept in some time. The shower in our bathroom had a dirty old wash rag on the floor and the shower heads in both bathrooms looked like that they were coming apart. The drapes were a bit dirty and missing some hooks in both rooms. It just basically looked like it was a old Motel 6 room that had not been dusted or swept or serviced in some time but we were still willing to ride it out for the night until we saw a small bug walking across the floor which looked like an infant cockroach. My husband checked under our bed and found 3 full size live cockroaches under just under our mattress on the frame. That was enough for us to leave. We quickly gathered our stuff and told the clerk about the cockroaches and that we wanted a refund. If you are in the room for more than 15 minutes, you cannot get a refund and we were in there for about 1 hour. He offered to put us in another room but the reality is the place was dirty. We also notice a few men coming and going. There was sign in the office window telling guest to keep their bikes off the walkways. I thought that was weird. Also, there was a cop car in the next lot. Wouldn't be surprise if there was some prostitution going on there. Wished we listened to our son when he said, "This place looks shady. I think we should go somewhere else." Yeah, go somewhere else. The pictures on the website are completely out of date. If it looked that way in 2012, it certainly doesn't look that way anymore.

DONT STAY HERE! CAR WAS BROKEN INTO. all luggage was stolen, christmas gifts for family are gone. lots of valuable stuff were stolen. window was broken. would not stay here again!

This place was clean and quiet. Price was low 60.99 plus a 40.00 deposit, that I got back in morning. Heater worked good. Tv was tube style but still nice.
