You walk into a diner that maximizes their space with tables almost up to the door (which while seeming crowded upon entry, can be nice for the purpose of slow on more crowded days. With a Texas/Western theme for the decor, you get a purposeful country breakfast selection on the menu. The country music I grew up on cycles through the restaurant (making it kind of hard to read since instead I sing to myself!) The music videos actually... just noticed the TV in the top corner near the windows.Between the biscuits and gravy and chilaquiles, the waitress suggested the latter, so of course that's the route I went.I added the tritip to my chilaquiles, and while I didn't dislike it by any means, I don't know that I felt it added any additional value to the dish. I'd probably do it without next time. My egg was perfectly runny as requested and the dish a beautiful mess when you broke into it, paired with the tasty salsa verde. The biscuits and gravy and the black bean burger are the next two things on my list to try here in the future!Lastly, you seem to go the counter to pay. I hadn't realized that until I was sitting there for some time.

Texas Country closes at 2:00pm, the closing time is wrong on Yelp. We got there just after 2:00pm and they were nice enough to serve us anyway. I had the steak sandwich and I could not eat it because the meat was tough. The French fries were good though:)My husband had breakfast and the hash browns were terrible. Overall I'm sorry to say , it was not good enough for us to go back.

Just reopened. Looks great, staff was great. Had to wait a little for coffee refill. The breakfast was Excellant. Hot, fresh and very flavorful. I've been in the food business all of my life. I always pay attention to food costs. I understand the breakdown and how to price quality food for a menu. We had just been in South Lake Tahoe and had Steak dinner and my wife had Salmon and the total of our meal was $6 less expensive than our breakfast. This place is in Manteca folks. One thing I have learned the most in food service is that volume is the key to success. Might want to rethink menu costs. I am retired comfortably and have no problem paying for a good breakfast with good service, but wow! We hope for your success. MNM

Delicious food! The ribeye steak was cooked to perfection . Great atmosphere with an awesome music selection. The staff was friendly, and the service was amazing! This will definitely be my go-to spot for breakfast or brunch. It's great to have something other than fast food in Manteca! Highly recommend.

We used to come here before it was Texas Country and the food was decent (breakfast) the service is still friendly which is great, but the second and most important thing is food, and it was terrible. I love Texas and Texas has amazing food anywhere you go, THIS is not Texas food. Needs so much improvement. Biscuits hard and chewy (gravy was nice) the chile verde was not appealing nor worth the stop. I couldn't eat it after the first bite. It was okay before, I was hesitant then, but I would not recommend it now at all. The place looks lovely and cozy. It's too bad the food doesn't complement the place. A lot of room for improvement, but it's fairly new transitioning owners, so hopefully they step it up. So much potential to attract regulars and new customers looking for a cozy dine in plus great location. If you stop and eat here, it's a hit or miss, today for us it was a big $40 miss and we shared a plate and a side needless to say it was disappointing.
