Terra Mia Ristorante Italiano

We came here before for a special event but were impressed enough to come back and try it with the normal menu. Overall, it was a great experience. The food was high quality and served in an appropriate amount of time. Everyone at the table (party of 5) enjoyed our food and we passed it around and tasted everyone's dishes. The dessert was also amazing, and I'm not much of a dessert guy.Downfalls (and these are minor but collectively worth a star) were: When we arrived, they had one menu for a table of five. The menus are printed on paper...make some copies, people. The server arrived to take our order before we had more than one menu. I ordered the house red wine, shown on the menu as a house choice at a given price ($35, I think it was). The server brought the wine from the upgrade menu for $10 more. It was good, so I didn't complain, but the serving staff should know what to bring or what's sold out and mention it as such rather than bringing something else and me finding out about that on the check.

Last Saturday evening a large number of family members got together at Terra Mia to celebrate our aunts 80th birthday. We had a fixed banquet menu to choose from. It came with an assortment of appetizer pizza, salad and bread. We were off to a great start until our dinners came. I sent mine back (cannelloni) as it was cold in center and the meat resembled canned cat food, I switched it out for the lasagna. The lasagna was hot but not very good. My husband ordered the chicken saltimbocca which was not cooked thoroughly and had a gray tinge to it. He had a bite and ended up eating the mashed potatoes and frozen vegetables that came with it. As I looked around our table I noticed everyone pushing food around their plates. Despite the terrible food, we enjoyed each other's company and the dessert, chocolate mousse cheesecake (frozen) included in dinner and birthday cake from an outside bakery. The service was good, servers were attentive but ignored the food they were serving. On the way home my husband started to feel ill along with our daughter and son in law. The three had ordered the chicken. The next morning, I received calls from other family members who had eaten the salmon, chicken and lasagna and experienced stomach issues as a result. In total about 25 family members were affected by the undercooked/mishandled food. We paid $65 each for stomachaches and food poisoning! Whoever is ordering the frozen food, not cooking it properly and presenting it as authentic Italian cuisine should take responsibility. This place is a NO good!

Absolutely delicious! We came here for a birthday celebration. They had great specials and their regular menu is fantastic too. The staff are all friendly and happy to help in any way they can. We were seated on time for our reservation. We were in a back room with a few other parties and it was great. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We had lots of food and everyone in our group was very pleased with the food. Overall service was phenomenal and they were very attentive. The birthday girl even got her singing chef puppet extravaganza too. We'd definitely go back here again.

We came here last night for dinner. 1st time here. I remember years ago somebody had mentioned an Italian Restaurant off of East Avenue in Livermore. Nice place and overall nice atmosphere. They have some outside seating (several tables from what I saw). They also have 2 rooms to accommodate parties or special event and a full bar that looked like it stayed busy with their regulars.We ordered some drinks and my martini was made to perfection (actually both of them lol). I started with a large Caesar Salad (to keep it real not truly large). I think (of course everyone has their own opinions) but the dressing could have been a little creamier but I could taste the anchovies that were mixed into the dressing. Nice but not overpowering. I like anchovies and ordered some on the side. My wife had their Beet Salad. I think the portion could have been slightly larger but she said it had a good taste. They also provided some freshly baked bread that was really tasty.My mom (it was her Birthday) ordered their Lasagna and she really enjoyed it. They give a very large serving and she said their red sauce was fantastic. Not heavy but she said it had great flavor. The way it was constructed was also done really well. I ordered their Fettuccine Primavera with Pesto and fresh vegetables. The waiter asked if I wanted to upgrade for $3 to their fresh made pasta (of course I do) but the dish could have had more pasta, especially since I upgraded but oh well. I liked the flavor but my wife felt that it had to many Pine Nuts. My wife ordered the Terra Mia Pizza (a 12" Pizza) that had eggplant and mushrooms with a light red sauce. I liked their pizza and felt it was prepared very well. Since it was my mom's Birthday, she mentioned she liked Tiramisu so I ordered one to share. The waiters brought it with a candle and sang Happy Birthday in Italian. That was a nice touch. The Tiramisu was delicious. Overall we had a very nice dinner with very good service.

I visited Terra Mia with a large party for a birthday. The service was wonderful and staff were super friendly! Especially considered we had quite a large party, they were very attentive. The food was delicious and portions were pretty decent. I always feel like pasta dishes are quite heavy and having large portions isn't necessary. Although the portions weren't super huge, I think it was more appropriate given the heavy food and cream. I really appreciated the attention to portion size.I got the Ravioli Anna and it was delicious! I tried a bit of someone else's steak and the balsamic sauce was one of a kind! I also tried the Margarita pizza which was tasty and cheesy.

Had a great time. Food was excellent. And David our server was great. He made sure that we were cared for. The place was very nice and cozy

I really wanted to like Terra Mia, as we chose it to celebrate my aunt's birthday with a group of about 40 people. Unfortunately, the experience turned into a nightmare--at least half of our group developed food poisoning afterward, likely from improperly handled chicken. Symptoms started within hours and lasted for days.We expected better food safety standards, and this was incredibly disappointing. If you're considering dining here, be aware of potential food handling issues. I hope management takes this seriously and improves their practices before others suffer the same fate. I will be giving management a call as my cousin paid over $2,600 for this event!!! that's crazy. do NOT recommend

I went there for a party. I ordered the salmon which was over cooked and dry. My husband had the lasagne which was very tasty and a good portion. We both had an iced tea which had a very odd taste to it. It had like a black licorice after taste. As soon as I got home I got sick to my stomach and this was Saturday night and my stomach still is not feeling well. I've was thinking maybe it was because we ate after 7 pm. But almost half the the people attend ing the party also reported being sick. Will not be going here again. Not worthy at all.

Pretty solid food and the ambiance was nice, service was a little slow despite the restaurant being empty.
