Taqueria Carolina

Trust me this is GOOD! I've tried so many Mexican restaurants and this by far has been my favorite! The torta with al pastor was very tasty and the meat was perfectly cooked, my husband asked for the carne asada plate and also everything was delicious! Definitely coming back! Service was great, ambiance was great!

This is our go to place when we are running back and forth through Modesto. Always consistant service, the staff is beyond friendly and helpful. We stopped in for an early lunch and I decided on the chili verde platter. It came with rice, beans, lettuce, pico and your choice of corn or flour tortillas. I chose corn tortillas. The pork was tender, the green sauce had a little kick, The rice and beans and good flavor. My husband had a carne asada super burrito, he enjoyed it. The red and green salsa were great, we got chips with our order. You order at the counter then they bring your food out to you. When our food was delivered, she offered more chips. Big servings, I brought half my plate home. Many options on their menu. They did have pepsi products on fountain, bottled coke and jarritos and a selection of canned soda. They also had the bagged cookies next to the register, I think 3 or 4 different types of cookies, I got the chocolate chip, SO GOOD!The dining room is a bit dated, but they do a great job keeping it clean. Wait wasn't long and our food was good and hot. We will be back~

The food is so good here, I've tried several menu items and each one has been very delicious. The employees are very friendly and helpful when it comes to asking questions. So glad we live so close to it, it's a go to when I'm too lazy to cook.

Call up to see if they have Breakfast Burritos. Said yes. Had little time. Left my Chihuahua to get groomed. So I walked in to the Taqueria. It was Empty. So I asked the girl for the Breakfast Burrito. Then Five guys walked in After me to Order. Talking in Spanish to the Cook. So see I'm a lite Skin Mexican Man. So I walked to my table and waited for my Burrito. Mind you it's 957 am. When I Ordered. So ten minutes later I go up and ask what's taking so long to make the Burrito. It's only beans eggs and Ham. And I Notice the cook making the food for the five guys that came in after me. And ask again what's taking so Long. So the cook finally starts the burrito in less than Three minutes it was done. It's 1015 am. Almost half an hour. To make a 3-4 minute burrito. So when the cook gave the girl the food. He was Giving me Dirty Looks. So he thought I didn't Speak Spanish. And I ask him why the Mad Looks at me. He was Surprised that I spoke to him in Spanish. I Don't Recommend this Place. Just for the BS I went through. Believe me. I always give Five Stars to the Taquerias I've eaten. Only gave it one. Cuz it wasn't letting me post this Review. Stay away from this Lousy Place. And their Attitude

We came here in the morning as we were headed on the 132 fwy for a 49er game. Based on yelp reviews we stopped to get a bite with friends. We ordered green enchiladas, tacos, and michiladas. Everything was fresh and super delicious. Definitely authentic Mexican food!! The restaurant was clean and great customer service. Will be coming back!

This restaurant is so disappointing. The service and food is terrible. I have been there four or five times and noticed that it is consistently mediocre. They have shorted us twice on our to go orders. One time the cheese enchiladas had burnt cheese that was thick and rubbery. And another time the service was so slow that we wanted to leave and go to McDonald's.

Disappointed. I didn't feel like driving far so I just walked over after visiting the pharmacy. Spent $25 on super nachos and two beers. Carnitas was the recommendation from the nice waitstaff behind the counter. It was very dry and crispy (almost powder like), over salted, and had no flavor. Guacamole had no avocado in it. Beans had no flavor. Cheese cooled to a plastic consistency.Ambiance is a cacophony of loud music and all of the TV's have their volume up as well, so you can't focus on anything. It's a sensory nightmare. The decor needs some love. It's clean and the waitstaff was friendly, so 1 star each. Nothing else to be proud of here. Won't be back for a long time.

So yummy my and the hubby think the tacos were so yummilous def will take the kiddos out..... when the come back from college #blessed

First time gettn tacos ther n yes i ask without pico de gallo n salsa but hey wt kind of fish is that i tink its not professional giving a fish taco looking like you grab it n smash it with you hand

I had my daughter call in an order because we don't live close and they immediately put her on hold and it was for quite some time so I drove to place our order and when I got there I asked if they still took call in orders and the guy said yes and I let him know that I was placed on hold and I was still on hold he smiled and grab the phone and hung up the phone smh my order could have been ready by the time I got there instead I had to another 15-20 minutes got my food on top of my 20 minute ride there all because the guy with blue eyes left my daughter on hold worse part when I got there they had no other orders being made or people waiting for there food
