Tanzanite Park

Tanzanite Park is so beautiful! My dog and I absolutely loved our walk around the pond. The best time to visit is during the early sunset hours when the whole park looks beautiful. Plus, they even dog park!

It's a beautiful park but be aware of the duck poop lol. You can't really use the grass for this reason. Otherwise we have fun on the playground and it's located in a quiet neighborhood not on any busy streets.

Park has great soccer fields, basketball, skate park and traditional playground areas.

I believe everyone who built this skate park was on drugs because these obstacles don't make any sense. The stairs are huge, the rails and hubba's are too low. My friend fell down one of the ramps on some kids scooter. Everything is all sorts of fuck.

I've been photographing at skate parks from San Diego to Sacramento. I took a scooter buddy with me when we visited this skate park.It looks really unloved when you enter from the nice parking lot. There is a little bit of everything to ride with a street section including rails and stairs to a strong, tall vert section further from the entrance.It was obvious from various skaters that someone designed this for skateboards. The angles are just extreme enough.

Took the dogs here for a walk. I will be back to fish probably. My only concern is the number of cars just sitting in the parking lot with people just sitting, smoking and getting high. I get it's legal, but it's a family park folks - find some other more discreet places to 'relax'. I went mid-day on a Saturday - I would come back at a different time and day.

Our first time at this park. We've come to skate! For us, the location is a little remote, but that's alright. It was nice to roll up to a large open parking lot and not too many people crowding the place up.We grabbed our skate stuff and went into the gate of the fenced skatepark. The planners did a good job with the terrain. There were 3 bowl areas (shallow, medium, and deep) and then a separate street area with rails, ledges, ramps, and stairs. Very nice. Although there were quite a few kids in the park, there wasn't one person skating. Every single person there was 'scooting', for realz.. :-( Probably 20 or so kids scooting around; not our cup of tea. Meh..

Great park in a nice neighborhood. The playground is clean and well maintained, and the area is peaceful. I see people walking their dogs, riding bikes, hanging with the kids, or just cruising.

This park is fairly large, there's a big field near the front street, and a big field towards the back. In between is a small field and public park restrooms, also the skate park and basketball courts.The parking lot and get packed very quickly, so if there's events, such as the GSFFL (Greater Sacramento Flag Football League) games, you need to be at the parking lot early to stake your spot.There is one covered pinic area towards the east side of the park, looks to be a good size for family functions.I'm not sure what ordinance there is for dogs, but I think as general courtesy for all park visitors, please clean up after your dog and not leave it around for people to step into it.So, to sum up, minus one star for parking spaces and dog waste.

The place is great however I need your help please:My dog was attacked by a Rottweiler 2 days ago at Tanzanite Park. I didn't get the owners information because my priority was getting my dog to the hospital. I'm hoping someone can help me find him!!Description: Indian male with 2 dogs- Rottweiler and German shepherd. Often seen walking around Tanzanite Community Park.
