This restaurant is located kitty corner to the Gallo Center, so we decided to give it a try before a jazz concert. Parking can be an issue as there are some street spots but a block away is a public garage too. The entrance is on 10th street and the decor is modern and light. I made a reservation through yelp and they had my table ready as soon as I walked in. The service is a little laid back but we were able to get in and out in an hour as we were ready to order as soon as we sat down. That is why I would give this a 4.5. Now to the food. I LOVED the tandoori paneer tikka, it was flavorful and well seasoned. The food all tasted well prepared and the choices were great. I would recommend this small establishment if you are in the area.

When you walk in, there's a strong scent of flavors, herbs and curries. We originally wanted to each get a mint, mango and strawberry lassi, however they did not have the other flavors, so we all got a mango lassi. We got the fish curry, butter chicken, biryani and a gajar matar. It took some time for the dishes to arrive but everything tasted so flavorful, hearty and scrumptious. The fish curry had the strongest oomph and we quickly consumed that one.

Didn't have a good experience here as far as staffing and service. Got to the restaurant around 845pm as their business hours show they are open until 10 pm. When we got there, there was only one other couple sitting in the booth, but no one else was there. The staff member asked if we were ordering to go, and we said no, we were there for dine in. He looked around (again, the place was empty), sighed, and then told us we could sit at the smallest 2-person table in the corner (near the window). We would have preferred the booth, but he said they were cleaning the area already (tables were clean and there weren't any staff members actuvely cleaning). It was fine, we sat at the table. He brought over the menus and asked us if we knew what we wanted already because they would be closing the kitchen soon. We said we'd have to take a look at the menus first as it was our first time there. Within the next five minutes of us sitting down, another couple came in, and they were sat at a booth. The staff member then came over to us and told us that since there are other people there, they can open up the booth seating and we could move there as well, which we did. Still no staff member had gone to that area to clean since we had arrived, but again, the tables appeared clean already when we got there. We finally decided to order and were told that we couldn't order any of the kabobs because it takes close to 25 minutes to cook, and the kitchen closes at 930pm (at that point it was around 9pm so they should have been able to prepare it in time before the kitchen closed). It was still okay, we ordered a bunch of other food. While we ordered, another 2 small groups of people came in. We noticed that one of the groups that had arrived to the restaurant while we were ordering got their Naan bread and a few different items before we got ours, and we had ordered it first. Our food was coming out one by one and slowly. It didn't bother us too much because we were having a chill night and weren't so much in a rush, but they made us feel rushed. Most of our food didn't come out until after 930pm. We kept asking about our samosa appetizers that we had ordered since they had already brought out some of the main entrees but they kept saying it's coming. They kept asking us if we were done, we weren't, so we definitely felt rushed. But by the time we had finished our dinner. Our samosas still hadn't come out yet, we assumed maybe they forgot and just werent going to charge us but that wasnt the case since it was still on our receipt. We asked for boxes and advised then we hadn't gotten the samosas. They had us wait longer while they tried to prepare it right away and packed it to go. Webfelt rushed, the service was not great, the food was decent, but also not great. Their mango Lassi was great! But that was about the only thing we cared for their. Won't be going back

The best in town for Indian food! We always make it a point to stop here whenever we're in the area. Convenient parking options with street parking or a large lot on the side. The service is top-notch, and the food is incredible - the naan is perfect, and the lamb curry just melts into the rich, flavorful sauce. Highly recommend!

My bf and I got there two hours before they closed, and we're told to sit near the windows so they could clean up a spot for us to officially sit at. Wait wasn't too long, and we already knew what we wanted. He got the chicken tikka masala, and I got the butter chicken. We also got naan, and they were so warm and perfectly fluffed enough to open up and put some chicken in there. Portions were more than enough for the both of us, and came in these neat metal plates. I got mild for my dish, because I know I can't handle the Indian spice, and he got the spicy one. The waiter was funny, and asked if he wanted the spicier one and my bf was like uhm, nah. It was laughable, since it felt like the waiter was jokingly sizing him up to see if he could take the spicier dish. Welp, he could not. Food: SO GOOD. SO F GOOD. Best we've had, and we've gone to several places in the Bay Area. This place beats anywhere we've gone so far. It took a little while, but so worth the wait Employees: Only had the two guys who bussing tables and serving, and they were pretty chill in the sense that they didn't swing by to our table so often that it felt like they wanted us to leave. Bathroom: clean, y'all. and pretty nice mirror on your way to the bathroom. locks works fine, too, and it's styled like the rest of the place. Vibe: calming, slow, and chill. Type of place to take your partner, a group of friends to catch up on life, or your in-laws.

My family and I spent a wonderful Christmas Eve together over their lunch buffet. It was well worth the price $19.99 for the value, freshness and taste of the food. All of the curries were so creamy and they had dessert and noodles to complement their usual dishes. I would recommend this to anyone who loves authentic Indian cuisine and a clean restaurant with friendly, humble and attentive staff.
