This is the spot to be at whenever you're in the Tracy area craving tacos or any Mexican cuisine. They offer a deal on tacos every Tuesday you don't want to miss. The service was great, the cashier took care of me and recommended and guided me through the huge menu they had to offer. I mainly ordered the tacos. I ordered five Al Pastor tacos and it was amazing. It came with everything, raw & cooked onions, cilantro, and a side of a cooked jalapeño. The tortillas were warm and soft like. No complaints from the tacos. The restaurant also offers complimentary chips and a variety of sauces to choose from. The ambiance was really good, it was bright inside and the dining room area was clean and the restaurant had an open concept design. Really nice place to take the family too and also a good place for a date as well! Overall, I rate this restaurant a solid 4/5 stars and will definitely be back to get more tacos and also to try the other dishes they have to offer. They offer speciality items for different days, which is really nice and innovative. I will definitely be recommending this restaurant to friends and colleagues!

This place literally has a chokehold on me, and while there is a location in Livermore, I find that the one in Tracy cannot compare to any other one. Rather, the one in Tracy was honestly better, and really lived up to its hype. Service: 5/5The señoritas were really nice and upon taking their order, they asked whether or not we wanted it with jalapeños and cilantros, of which I opted out because I don't usually eat jalapeños since they're still too spicy for me... everybody has a personal preference so that's what's being put on there.) Food: 4.5/5They have a salsa bar where you can get all kinds of sazones -- and salsas ranging from mucho picante (really spicy) to un pequeño picante (little spicy). The possibilities are endless. As for their tacos, I got the opportunity to try out their tripe tacos, tacos de lengua, and tacos al pastor. The quality of the meat was very tender, cooked thoroughly, and was not cooked too medium -- just the right amount of juiciness needed to put alongside the cilantro and the onions. Their horchata and jamaica were a little bit watered down -- perhaps could have added a little bit more evaporated milk or condensed milk on top of the mixture with the horchata? The Jamaica had a very floral flavor to it -- could have added a little bit more cane sugar and what not. Overall, Tacos la Potranca in Tracy excelled in turning a simple cheap meal into a heartwarming experience. Their exceptional hospitality, combined with delicious food, ensured that I left not only satisfied but eager to return. It's rare to find a place that makes you feel at home on the first visit, but Tacos la Potranca achieved just that with grace and warmth.Oh, and the ambiance of this place is immaculate -- has a really homey feel to it!

They're open late which is great. Parking is tricky here bc they only have so many spots. We snagged the last one. This visit I got their "tacote" which translate to a "big taco" for $5.75.I chose a flour tortilla (you can get it corn too) and had a generous piece of carne asada, onions, some fries, and Avocado. I would probably get 2 for a meal. It was pretty good. The tortillas of the quesabirrias were soggy and falling apart. I like for mine to be a bit crunchy on the outside and the tortilla to have some hold as I dip them. Mine couldn't keep shape as I tried to dip it in the consome. The consome tasted a bit watered down too unfortunately. The salsa bar is clean with lots of selection. I like the creamy green salsa.

This taco spot is an absolute gem, and it has quickly become my go-to place for lunch! The convenience factor is unbeatable, making it the perfect spot to satisfy my cravings during my lunch break.Without a doubt, my favorite order here is the Asada Vampiro. The flavor explosion in each bite is simply incredible. It's packed with deliciousness and leaves me wanting more every time. Trust me, it's a must-try!During one visit, I decided to venture out and try their Asada fries. Let me tell you, it was a game-changer! The combination of perfectly cooked asada and fries was a match made in culinary heaven. One thing I really appreciate about this place is that they offer chips and salsa. It's the perfect way to kickstart your meal while waiting for your order. The salsa adds an extra punch of flavor that enhances the overall experience.Every visit to this taco spot has left me completely satisfied. The food never disappoints, and the service is impressively quick. On the prowl for a crispy chicken taco. Sadly this was not the place. The taco Dorado as they call it was made with a premade shell in a box from the store and deep fried. That's my opinion and I'm sticking to it. No need for me to return to try other items if the taco shell is dry, chicken unseasoned

I came here 3 Sundays in a row trying to get their menudo and today was the day I got some before they ran out . It was definitely worth the wait . Soft warm tortillas wrapped in a new hot towel invaded in a basket and the beef tripe in Jalisco style red menudo hit the spot. I had placed an order to go and they waited until I finished the hot menudo before making my other items to go! Now that is customer service delivering fresh food ms for the family and friends!Wish I had enough battery to take a picture but I'll be able the next time I have time to swing by this spot .I enjoy y their cabeza and lengua tacos as well.

We decided to hit Tracy and change it up from our usual spots. Tacos La Potranca was the target, and we weren't disappointed. Their Asada fries looked really good and they were. With Asada and pico de gallo, the fries still maintained their crispness and overall, I'd rank it a 5. With additional items (Birria taco, queso taco) and Birria, they were flavorful and I'd give them a 4. Composite score would be 4.5 on my scale. The service was friendly and helpful, with the food coming out fairly quickly. Simple and neat decor inside, it was busy but cleared out quickly. We'll be keepingThis one in mind if we're in the area. Definitely good food.

I am surprised this establishment is not rated higher! I ordered the al pastor burrito. It was a Wednesday so I received a free drink with it. I picked the horchata which tasted very fresh and perfectly sweet. The burrito was perfectly assembled with the right portions of meat, rice, beans, and veggies. I got a side of the guacamole salsa that I added to the burrito and it was the perfect combination. Can't wait to go back and try the other menu items!
