Tacos Chapala

All I can say about this place is that there are only a couple of good things on the menu... The tacos and quesadillas! Whatever you do, stay away from the churro donut. And if you are not aware, their scoops of ice cream are bagged... there is no actual scooping taking place.This place does this fusion thing that doesn't make sense. Taqueria Yvette is definitely our go to.

I love that they have a burrito bowl. I do not prefer the burrito to be wrapped though!

I've been to the Chapala in Stockton before, but honestly this Manteca location is a lot better plus way cleaner. They also have an open kitchen so you can see your food being made. It's the usual ordering process where you order then sit down and wait for your food to be given to you. Only downside is you have to pay for chips, but not a huge deal.I personally ordered the Carne Asada Taco & Al Pastor Taco. Each taco is $2.75 which is a solid price. The Al Pastor and Carne Asada were pretty standard. I definitely prefer the Asada more. The meat to tortilla and salsa ratio is perfect too. The tortilla was really soft and doesn't fall apart while eating it.The Carne Asada Quesadilla ($11) blew my mind. That thing is MASSIVE. For $11 too it is a great deal. It was absolutely loaded with Asada and guacamole. It is definitely a sharable item and I couldn't even finish it despite being a total glutton myself. It is great value and I'd recommend it.Once you finish the staff cleans the table and dishes for you. Customer service is pretty friendly overall and the store is basically spotless. This is certainly a great spot for authentic Mexican food.

It's a small place and upon walking up it was packed. Meaning it would absolutely be good. I got a hot Cheeto burrito and it was ready within 5 minutes even with all the people there. I've had quite a few hot Cheeto burritos and this is by far the best. Plenty of meat and it's seasoned extremely well.

The food was hands down amazing! The pozole verde had amazing flavor! My daughter loved her chicken quesadilla, and my husband's torta supreme looked phenomenal! Also all the workers were so nice. Also nothing by to do with food but I loved the look of the place and the jams were jamming!

Not so good food is basic and worst chiles rellenos! Parecían una basca de perro! Quizá otras cosas están un poco mejor. Maybe try something else. But definitely not best food! I rather go to Estrella across the street and I'm not a fan of there either. Service was not the best! The place might be nice and clean but they need to be better on customer service cause sometimes they have some people on the register that can be rude like they don't want to be there or make u feel like not welcome or hate taking orders.

As a Mexican, I am disappointed. I ordered a chile relleno burrito but there was no chile to be found. The majority of the burrito was only rice and egg and barely any chile relleno. The salsas and meat were bland. The service was ok and it wasn't very busy but even then the food was not worth it

I ordered carne asada, and the meat was fine, but the rice was rotten and the beans were cold. The lady at the register didn't pay attention to my instructions. I specifically asked for meat, rice, and beans--twice--but they served me fries and salad instead. The arrachera was nicely cooked, but as a Mexican and a customer, I expect my order to be fulfilled correctly. While I had a few disappointments, I hope they work on these issues to keep regular customers happy.

Always Awesome service Always very clean..Then there's the food..!!!Best newer place in town..Had the others, there's NO COMPARISON....THIS PLACE IS GREAT ON ALL LEVELS.

Delicious food and great service just wish they seethed breakfast foods more than 2 hours a day. The breakfast burrito is my favorite item.
