Pleasant little place.I had been curious to check this place our for years now. So on my way back from San Francisco, I decided to stop by Trader Joe's to pick up some grocery's. That's when I rediscovered this place and decided it was the perfect opportunity to check them out being It was close to my dinner time, and I was getting quite hungry. It was late afternoon after the crowds had dissipated, which left me being the lone ranger. I was then greeted and taken care of one of the owners John. He was incredibly nice and gave me a little history about the family owned business and how they got started. All these years I thought this place was specifically for catering only, and that this spot was only for pick ups ect. Totally wrong. Cute little place with a nice little decent amount of tables and seating. And they offer a quite appealing lunch and dinner menu. Oh, and at some incredibly reasonable prices. I ended up ordering a glass of their Cabernet Sauvignon for $5.00. It actually turned out quite decent in taste. Glass was just a little dirty on the outside. For food, I ordered the Sourdough Crusted Chicken Breast with Bearnaise Sauce over a Rice Pilaf for $9.75.The dish was presented deliciously appealing. The Sourdough Crusted chicken along with the sauce, was quite tasty. Sauce could had been a bit hotter, though it was still creamy, tasteful and complemented the crusted chicken perfectly. The rice pilaf was unfortunately too dry however, I really enjoyed the dried cranberries mixed within it. The ceasar salad it came with was also enjoyable.Overall, I really enjoyed my quick little visit here. The owner was extremely personable and accommodating. The food was good, and the prices also seem quite reasonable. I will certainly be back to try some additional specialties.

I brought lunch to a CPA firm. When you walk in the place smells amazing! They had wonderful looking kettle chips that I wish were on my eating plan. I did splurge and have a BLTA salad mmmmm bacon. The food was excellent. I called a head and the order was on time and everything correct. Next time I will make it my cheat meal and have their tri-tip and chips!

I've never used them as a caterer, but have had lunch at their headquarters several times. Between the couple tables outside and few inside there isn't much seating, but it's a great place to get sandwiches, soup or salads to go. The carved turkey sandwich with cranberry mayo and the ham and Gruyere sandwich are my two favorites. The everything but the kitchen sink salad is my go to salad. Their ingredients are fresh and the food reliably good. I haven't had any of the soups yet, but can't wait to try them as it's getting colder and colder outside. Also there are tons of beautiful looking desserts that I need to sample in the near future. Yummy.

Nice little spot across from Trader Joe's. Very small, but sandwiches are good and quick. I've heard rave reviews about their soups, haven't tried them yet & the salads look delish as well.

It makes me very sad Susan Ford Catering has closed permanently. This spot was a gem and if she opened a full restaurant it would constantly be sold out. * the meatloaf was out of this world.

This review is for the catering and event planning side of Susan Foord.I used SFC for my July 12th wedding and I am SO HAPPY I went with this "mom n' pop" company, instead of going through a fancy winery/country club. They took care of everything I needed/wanted, stayed within my budget, always gave me a quote/estimate before charging and answered all my questions/worries within a timely matter. My guests RAVED about the food, the atmosphere, the flowers, the service and said it was the wedding of the century, which made me so proud since I couldn't (finacially and morally) go crazy. Jaye, the planner, was wonderful, attentive and made sure to put me at ease. There was an intial hiccup with communication and a changing of planners that put me on edge/made me nervous, but was quickly reassured that they were the company for the job. Ginny was great at answering all my emails and communicating all the changes/additions to my wedding. Overall, a spectacular job and I was sure to recommend them to my friends and family and to any future bride. Thank SFC for making my day better than I am imagined and a HUGE thanks to Jaye and her crew. You guys are rockstars!

Whether you're looking for a full tilt boogey catering or just want a little help entertaining some friends, I cannot sing enough praise for Susan Foord. When she catered my husband's 60th birthday party for about 20 or so friends, I truthfully told people then it was the best meal I'd ever had, including meals I'd had at the best restaurants in Paris. (Ah, those were the days...) Now, with life on a much tighter budget, I'm still able to provide an eye-popping dinner for friends by getting the main course as carryout from Susan's. For a incredibly reasonable price, I fed 11 people last night Susan's amazingly delicious sourdough crusted chicken with rice pilaf (like rice pilaf you've never had) and a killer bearnaise sauce. I served it buffet-style, and even after the chicken was gone, they kept going back to ladle more of the sauce on their plates! Thank you Susan and company!Susan P

We used Susan Foord for a non-profit event and it was a disaster. They did not have enough food and had to send someone to the local grocer to get some more fruit. They charged $6 for breakfast for our volunteers that consisted of one mini-muffin or pastry per person and some coffee. They were not set up on time and had unskilled waiters. More than once a plate was dropped, the silverware set incorrectly, or water splashed on the table when they were filling carafes. The wait staff were inattentive, with the exception of the head gal. Finally, after the event, we gave our contact some feedback. She more or less said it was not their fault, offered no remuneration, and was not too concerned that we said we would not come back the following year. Would not recommend this caterer! Save your money and go with someone else.

I love Susan Foord Catering! I have lunch there a couple of times a week and their sandwiches are great; fresh and flavorful. I had their French fries for the first time today, they were really good. (I love French fries!)Susan Foord is the perfect place to stop by on the way home from work, when you don't feel like cooking, but you want a yummy meal! Or a beautiful romantic meal...SFC prepared the most delicious Beef Wellington ever, with grilled asparagus, Caesar salad and their Red Velvet cupcakes which are as good as mine (ok, maybe better!)Oh SFC has also prepared Thanksgiving dinners for us a couple of times; the dinners had all my favorite Thanksgiving dishes. Their instructions for cooking were perfect, everything was easy and we were able to relax and enjoy the holiday. The only thing that might be better than their food is their warm hospitality. I enjoy going there because they are so nice!
