Sunshine Rafting Adventures

This was one of the best adventures my family and I have experienced together. The company does a great job with keeping you informed leading up to your day and had people along the river just in case you need help.We were able to bring water guns and take a few stops to eat or just to get in the water. Along the route we met so many people that were just as excited as we were.My family and I will be making this an annual day trip!

My friends and I had a great time rafting with Sunshine rafting Adventures. We brought two coolers one with food wrapped up in plastic and one with beverages. There are a few times you have to row either to avoid Rough Waters or trees on the bank of the river, but overall it was a beautiful relaxing trip with friends.Cell phone protectors and drink holders are a must. The guides were very helpful and friendly . I'll definitely be going again.

Shiloh and his team were amazing, we were a group of 150 people, and his team handled our team very well.Also Josh helped us alot too on the event day.Appreciate all your team.

Fun experience. Definitely recommend it to anyone. My family has made it a family tradition to go.

Second year going with family and friends! It's a yearly thing for us now! Everyone we take always has the time of their lives! It's always an adventure! We talk about it for days after a must! Great way to have fun,refresh and enjoy time with family and friends! Definitely would recommend them! Prices are also very affordable! Worth every penny for the memories you will make!

First time at Sunshine Rafting and rafting on the Stanislaus River! Check in:On weekends it was on site and a minor set back was not having visible signs. There should be a large sign at the Sonora road that points to check in area. Wish they emailed me the waivers ahead of time so it's easier and quicker check in. The service was nice and I had two people who couldn't come so at least we got credited a voucher to use another time. Make a reservation! They blow up the number of rafts based on reservations per day, so if you try to do a walk in you might have to turn back. Set up:8 max per raft and you get a dry box to put your valuables that can't get wet (phone, keys, etc). There are a few workers to help give life jackets and the safety talk, then after that it's time to get in the river! Rafting:Class I/II perfect for family/children rafting. There are a few rapids but they're manageable. Beware of a lot of branches, so try your best to stay in the middle of the river, and there are no guides on the raft. Stopped at Horeshoe Park for lunch. There are picnic tables and a small firepit/grill. You are allowed to bring coolers but don't make them heavy because they do go on your raft. We packed sandwich ingredients which was cheap and quick set up. Bring a hat and sunblock! Exposed to the sun the whole time. At the end they have a shuttle that brings you back to the check in area.Definitely come back to do the next level with the hubby!

Omg this was an amazing trip for us! All 7 of us had an amazing time! The staff was helpful and friendly. They gave us a short instruction/orientation before we got in the raft. We packed lunch, drinks, and snacks in a large (and heavy) cooler that we were able to take with us on the raft. Tip: Bring water guns like we did-many rafters squirt each other with squirt guns along the river! :D This is fun for everyone but I especially recommend it it if you have kids! The raft and ores were sturdy. They also provided life jackets for everyone. There were several places to stop along the way including a few rope swings! There were also staff members along the river to direct you in some areas and advise you on the very few areas of the river that were slightly challenging. At the end of the trip they bus you back to the parking lot.This was not a tough river to navigate. The ages in our raft ranged from 11 years old to 60 years old and we all did quite well! Before the trip I emailed and requested to add more people to our raft. The staff was very friendly, responsive, and accommodating.They also provide a photo of your rafters after the trip via Facebook for no additional cost, super nice! This is an EPIC trip for families and friends! I highly recommend it! We plan to go at least once a year now!

Friendly staff, worth the money, great for the entire family. Lots of fun!!!Beautiful scenery...weather is hot but water is cold and refreshing.

The past 5 years we have gone rafting and had a blast; however, today was not a good experience. First, the staff under the canopy taking the waivers were unfriendly and rude. Sunshine Rafting had other staff search our ice chests, food, purses, and dry bags looking for alcohol due to the no alcohol policy. The staff who searched were overly exerting their power. When we arrived down by the river, staff once again searched our ice chests. Staff were unfriendly and lacked customer service. Only two staff members provided good customer service. We felt micromanaged by the staff from beginning to end. Even when we arrived in Orange Blossom, the staff members rudely directed us. Our bus driver was asleep for 15 minutes before he realized we were there. He also was unfriendly and unprofessional. The water level was high but it was not more wild than the other years Sunshine allowed alcohol. Our group are all working professionals just trying to unwind and have a good time but this year was not even close up to par. I understand people tend to get drunk and engage in poor decision making but how about the respectful and responsible customers that do not cause any disturbances?

Went with a group of family. Had the best time! Your able to take an ice chest on the raft. With food and drinks. You have a time limit to reach the half way point. If you dont make it by the time limit your not able to proceed to the end of the river. Which i believe would have been fine. Your able to pull over in certain areas and rest or eat! The water was a bit shallow but i felt safe. My first time rafting and i cant wait to do it again! Definitely worth it!
