A couple weekends before Christmas, my family had our holiday gathering. Our meal plans fell through and we had to place a large order through Door Dash unexpectedly. Not only was Strings able to accommodate us on short notice, but the food was outstanding. The salad was fresh and the dressing delish! All the pasta dishes we had were amazing. Even the bread was fantastic. Thank you, Strings, for saving our family gathering. We will be back to dine in or order door dash again.

I have been going to Strings on Oakdale Rd. off and on for as long as they have been here in Modesto. The food has always been good, and over the years, I have noticed that the wait staff, which was always a pleasure to work with, have gotten even better. A few months ago, our local Shriner's group took to having "Ladies Night Out" at this Strings. The food has always been complimented and the staff accommodating when we had member show up without RSVPing (grr). It looks like we may continue to meet here with our ladies!

My husband and I went yesterday and the food there was bland and not authentic. We got the margherita pizza and minestrone soup. The soup was fine but the pizza was not authentic, it was just topped with cheese and more cheese. We also had a taste of the marinara sauce and that did not taste good! I will say that the bread there was fantastic and the host needs more love. We were going to order a dessert but decided against it because we didn't know if the cost was worth it. If you just changed a few things it would be fine, but until then we will not be back.

Ordered to go. They have great staffs! They forgot my lemon berry cake and they gave me a call right away. I've went back nearly two weeks later to pick up another slice of cake because I live across town and couldn't make it near that area. I would definitely order from here again or dine in.

We hosted a party for our parents on the patio at Strings and had a fantastic experience. Keelie was super easy to work with and so thoughtful, and made party planning much simpler than expected. The staff was gracious and flexible, and we were able to be creative in how we set up the event. The selection of appetizers (bruschetta, pizza, stuffed mushrooms, scampi, and meatballs) and lemon berry cake were a big hit with our partygoers young and old. We got many compliments! And the patio is a great setting for a private event, with fans and heaters at the ready for any weather. In making a special event for our parents, we got everything and more than we were looking for. We are grateful and will be back!
