Our family has lived in Stonewood for 25 years and it's such a convenience to walk to the pool. Our daughter attended beginners swim when she was first starting out learning the techniques and later was on the Stonewood Swim Team where that lead her too being a life guard. Our association constantly maintains this swim, tennis & bbq area for all who are residents & guests to relax on our hot summer days. The snack shack has a variety of cool drinks & snacks, so come & join in on our beautiful pool & recreational areas.

My family has lived in the neighborhood for decades and we have seen such a disappointing decline in the quality, upkeep, and service at this pool.My parents own a home literally down the street from the pool and right around the corner from them, my sister and brother-in-law own a home. My permanent address is my parent's home as I am a student and have been traveling. On a recent occasion, I brought my nephew to the swimming pool and was greeted by a very unpleasant teenager/lifeguard. When I told her which house I was from, she said I couldn't come to the pool because I wasn't the "homeowner". This is when I preceded to ask her whether or not she would allow a wife in if the home was in her husband's name and her response - no. I'm sorry, but that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! I then showed her my license with the home address on it - which she wouldn't accept. My nephew (poor thing) was burning in the sun the whole time because the entryway is not shaded.I had to call my mother (who was busy taking care of things around the house) to come down to the pool so I could get in. During the time I was waiting on my mother, two young boys (maybe 10 years old) came in and signed the guestbook and were directly let in - I guess they must have been the "homeowners"! Finally, my mother arrived to the pool and signed the book. The lifeguard said nothing - didn't even ask my mother one question about her home address, whether she was the owner - nothing! She just let us right in after that. I could have literally had someone come in off the street and scribble in the book. I don't see what the point of her reluctance was!I decided to let that slide and have a good time with my nephew. This was his first time in the "big kid" (aka adult) pool, so I kept him with me at all times and brought a pool noodle to help teach him to paddle. The same lifeguard then came over and told me the noodle was not allowed in the pool. I told her I had been coming to the pool for years and that that had never been a rule. She mentioned that it was in the "neighborhood agreement/contract", so I asked to take a look at this contract. I showed her that nowhere in the document did it say noodles or pool toys were not allowed - it only said "no inflatable flotation devices allowed" (such as pool rafts, floaties, etc.). I explained to the girl that noodles do not require air and are therefore not inflatable, to which she said nothing, so I continued to swim. A little while later, I decided to get my nephew an ice cream. I asked the same girl if they had ice cream, which they didn't. Instead they had popsicles which was totally fine. I ordered 1 popsicle, which cost 25 cents each. I only had a $10 bill so I asked for change. She said they didn't have change, but that she had $6 dollars on her. I said fine and paid $4 for a 25 cent popsicle and let the girl keep the change. The next day I came back to the pool with my nephew and the same girl was working there. And guess what - the same thing happened again with her! I couldn't believe how rude these employees could be - surely she must have remembered the ridiculous fiasco she had created the day before. This place needs an ADULT on site at all times to watch the employees. I don't think this place is run appropriately or professionally whatsoever. The really sad part is that the woman who runs this pool lives across the street from my sister and we've literally never seen her at the pool except one time to drop off water. It's so sad to see what used to be a nice neighborhood pool go so far downhill in such a short time. Hopefully this will turn around soon and they can train the employees to understand customer service! After all - my family is paying for this service!!
