Would be nice to see employees at susd MAIN office a little more happy to help. Not all employees here get pissed when you come in the MAIN office for help or just a simple question but most of them do! The district need to do a training on how to have a better attitude! And if you go in for information or in what order something needs to be done or how to do something, check with about 10 other departments and employees because you will get a different answer every time then just go with what ever answer you think is best ..you'll get 10 different answers!

Went to fill out an application. The receptionist/administrative assistant must have been having a bad day. She was rather unpleasant and seemed annoyed to even see me. She took a call and rolled her eyes at the woman on the line who was asking for directions. I would think that as an admin you are the first impression of SUSD and would be welcoming and courteous. I didn't get that from my first encounter with an SUSD employee.

I have had to deal with many school districts in my 40 years of life and this one is the absolute worst. Their employees don't care about anybody. Transportation has their heads up their butts and think they're better than everybody else. I mean really though look what you guys are doing, absolutely nothing to help anybody. They're broke they have no money and they don't care about our kids. My opinion is they are the absolute worst school district ever.

Bad district, bad students, bad people. Sending your child to any of these schools is akin to child abuse. I subbed here for several years over a decade ago and every day was usually a tiresome ordeal; from fractious children, unsupportive staff, poor management and dangerous work conditions. SUSD has consistently ranked in the lower 10% of California schools Statewide for the past 40 years. I am certain that even with every Initiative, Stig program or grant injected into this pogrom of a mess, it has only become worse. Avoid it like the plague.

I must have dealt with the same people that these other reviews are referring to! We moved from the Lincoln district to Stockton and my now 4th grader that has attended John R. Williams since kindergarten was just moved to another school in just seconds while he was still attending distance learning at his current school. Trying to do my due Diligence to apply/request for a IDA. When I called the Stockton Unified District office and tried to explain what I wanted to do the person who answered replied "I heard you" and this is after I already figured out how to complete the registration online myself and had to call on why I needed to complete for him to stay where he is as the school year is almost complete and he only has two more years at this school. I completed the IDA application for both years (current and next) I emailed the next day for an update as our current school wanted the IDA approval by the end of the week. I received an email back the following day stating "It is up to 6 weeks for processing, however I have already processed and sent to Lincoln on 3/24/21" no greeting, doesn't state it was approved etc. Just very unprofessional for people that works with families!! Our current school asked if Stockton Unified sent us anything. But the above response in the image is what I got! Why would it take 6 weeks! So I would have to take my kid out and send him to the other school until I get the approval!

This is the worst school district! Many of the buildings are not cared for and have cockroaches and bugs walking across the floor. It is apparent that taxpayer money is not being used to maintain schools. Many of the people who work here are unhappy and dissatisfied based on their attitudes. Teachers give students a packet of work while they are on their phones texting, or looking at social media. Many teachers yell at the top of their lungs at the students. I have seen a lot from this district and it is by far the worst district I have ever experienced. The principals are all very unprofessional and rude and like to intimidate people. Power trip perhaps?

As a second year employee, my in person experience with district staff has been nothing but courteous. Customer service is great! I do wish they would answer the phone more. For example, today I called 6 times and only got voicemail. But that happens in a large district like this one. Business is thriving and that is a good thing. :)
