A darn shame...

They have decent trap fields but the state of the American flags is a darn shame. Surprises me they are not attended to.

First off, the new website address is https://stocktongunclub.com/They've made changes to the facility and are trying to deal with Covid like everyone else. Changes include one of the only Helice ranges in the area - and they have Two of them. It is a very clean and modern facility - and therefore the higher price than other more 'rustic' ranges. If you're new to Shotgun Sports, they have pretty good explanations of the basics of each game - Skeet, Trap, 5 Stand and Helice. If you're in the Stockton area, it's the only game in town. Otherwise you're heading 90 minutes or more north.

An international and national level trap and skeet facility. Lots and lots of shooting games for shotgunners to include sporting clays and five stand, along with trap and skeet. There are classes, scheduled shoots and events throughout the year. The adjacent club has a great deal on lunches, mostly at $5. The menu includes salads and sandwiches, like a half-pound burger, NY steak sandwich or salad and, after shooting, a wonderful full bar.And bocci ball courts are indoors if that is your pursuasion.A wonderful find in the Valley.

Went skeet shooting for the first time here with a few family and friends and the staff were not polite or helpful at all. We needed the rules and regulations explained and the woman working the front desk had an extremely annoyed tone while serving us the entire time. Then when we finally got to shoot, the machines became blocked so we called maintenance and the lady from the front desk and another guy responded to it. The man repeatedly talked in a condescending voice and refused to believe that we didn't mess with the machine until he saw the clay pigeons not shoot out when he pressed the button. There has to be a better club to shoot at because my family, friends and I won't be coming back for more rude service. I would never recommend this establishment to anyone.

Been shooting here for a couple of years now. Always a great place to shoot. They have trap, skeet and sporting clays. Easy access to the range and rarely a long wait. Check them out.

This is a really good spot for informal shotgun fun. I especially like the fact that the place is entirely self-regulated and the voice activated throwing machines run on tokens you buy up front. While this means you won't have an employee on hand to keep score for you, you rarely have to wait to shoot anywhere and things are substantially more relaxed. Greg H posted a review complaining about the range master there, but I have no idea what he could be referring to - there are no range masters unless it's some kind of special event. He may be confusing this place with the Manteca Sportsman's Club, which is in fact a generally irritating place. The Sporting Clay loop is laid out quite well and they tend to position the throwers in clever and entertaining ways, but I have had quite a high failure rate when trying to find stations that are mechanically functioning properly. Maintenance can be something of an issue and they should probably look into some improvements in this area, but due to the libertarian policies here you can just move on to a different station or replay the setups you really like.I believe the actual prices are a bit higher than what is listed on their website, but to me it's worth the extra couple of bucks to enjoy the relaxed and generally friendly atmosphere here. I'll continue to visit this place regularly as long as they maintain the policies and friendly service that I appreciate.
