Just called to to see if they had openings and my goodness I could not understand a thing this lady was saying except every two seconds she kept saying yes. There is definitely a language barrier, I'm not sure why they have her running the phones. I asked her if Ms. Setsuko was still helping the school after they got citations from the state (for locking out a child outside unattended after they failed to do a head count). This lady repeatedly said yes (5x in a row). When I asked if Setsuko was available to chat she said really fast, "not here anymore." You can't even make out her words because everything was connected together.I asked if there was someone else I could talk to. She said Sorry Sorry yes yes super fast and I asked if I could speak to the director and the conversation was going no where. I was just getting a bunch of yes's in a row. Nothing made sense. If this is how they are on the phone, not sure if I can trust them with a small child. Maybe if you are of South Asian descent or middle-eastern you may have more luck speaking in a language they understand.

Ended up pulling my child from this place.A few things that really irked me about this place.1. Totally spelt my name wrong after filling multiple forms 2. Couldn't even say my child's name right and it's super easy.3. They don't actually help potty train at alll even tho they say they do. Just send pull ups and then change it. No following ques, etc. too large of a classroom. 4. Don't update on child very frequently even when you're paying tons of money. Losing their clothes, terrible overall communication. Did not feel like they actually cared for my child. Pulled out my kid super fast!

I never really had the time to post the review of this school when my son was there in 2014. But I cringe now when I drive by it still. Director at the time, KRIS, was horrible!!! That is an understatement too!!! Should never work with kids. The teachers were awesome and so was the curriculum, but that director. She couldn't handle my son, and told me he needs help!!!! He had a bad day and the next day when we brought him in, she would not even acknowlege him. HE WAS FOUR YRS OLD!!!!! I hope that woman is long gone from that place!!!! Never again!! She gave Montessori a very bad name!!

We moved to Stockton in October 2017 & spent A LOT of time looking for school for our 3 year old son. This school is as close to perfect as we could ever hope for. The teachers have been amazing. Our son started teaching himself how to write his name last year and he bucks if too much pressure is put on him to learn. It's just not enjoyable to him if it's not an internal desire to learn that's pushing him. In just a couple months our son learned how to write the entire alphabet & numbers 1-10& 100. They beautifully walked that fine line of guidance, not pressure, to add fuel to the fire of self motivation little ones have. He is currently in Miss Jodie's class & he spends time with Miss Setsuko. They are a perfect combination. Miss Jodie is animated & fun-perfect for little ones. Miss Setsuko has high standards and absolutely terrific curriculum for all ages. Both are extraordinarily caring & it's very, very obvious they love their work. They both have many years of experience & me and my husband comment literally everyday he attends how grateful we are that our little dude gets to go to this school. This school has had its struggles, the director position has been difficult for them to fill. My sister has been a preschool teacher for many years and I checked with her often when we first started here to ask about what seemed like a high turnover rate of directors. What my sister reassured us many times is that the director position is TOUGH to fill. It's a position that is constantly having to do a political dance with regulations, the budget, parents, teachers & students. She told us many schools struggle with this until they find the perfect person and it's more important to look at the turnover of the teachers who are in the classroom everyday with the kids. All the teachers I've met have been great though I can only speak about the ones we have experience with. They're attentive, kind, and so great with the kids, really knowing them individually and teaching the lessons in a way that each child gets to learn in the way they individually learn best. We are so happy that our son gets to have a few more years here. We'd keep him here longer if we could

I am so thankful for Stockton Montessori. They take intrest in my daughter like family. They teach kids about all the cultures and countries in the world...diversity! Grandparent day was amazing the preschoolers kindly walked around the room serving yummy appetizers on a silver platter & then performed afterwards. Music class & soccer is available at the school so I dont have to run around town taking her for extracurriculars!

My husband and I found out about Stockton Montessori from one of his co-workers. Our son has been a student there for two and a half years (summer 2016-present day). Sending our son to this preschool has been one of the best choices we've made. The director and teachers are amazing, friendly, and very welcoming. The education and social skills that my child has received at this school is more than I could have ever expected. I would definitely recommend Stockton Montessori to anyone who is looking for a school that provides excellent early childhood education.

My son attended Stockton Montessori for only less than a month and a half. Lily lacks empathy, knowledge, and structure. There is a language barrier with Lily. It's extremely difficult to be on the same page with her. This place is money hungry. A random teacher aide asked me to pick up my son 30 minutes earlier, because my son was crying... The aide said Lily asked her to ask me. Wouldn't Lily need to bring that up to me? I spoke with Lily and asked why would I need to pick up my son 30 minutes before, when I pay for 4 hours? I asked if my tuition would be lowered and she immediately was defensive and took back her absurd request. To top the day off my son was covered in dirt. From his face, hands, and shirt. I understand kids will get messy. However, my son was covered in filth. The aide who was walking with him didn't bother to wash his hands + face after coming in from playing outside. Please think twice before coming here unless you want to deal with the concerning amount of turnover for teachers. I highly suggest you check out INDEED. You will find teachers complaining about lack of pay + structure.

I moved to Stockton a couple of months ago and enrolled my two boys here. As a parent, I appreciate the professionalism, effort, strive, and dedication the teachers pour into making the kids reach their full potential. I highly recommend it.

I strongly advise against enrolling your child here. It's absolutely infuriating that the staff seems completely untrained to handle children properly. When incidents happen, they're more interested in covering them up than actually informing parents! I recently spoke to a parent who had to pull her child out of this school because he was left unattended outside the classroom. They claimed it was just for a few minutes, but it was much longer than that. I would never trust my children to a place like this. It's truly disappointing and unacceptable!
