I don't sail so I actually come here to get some exercise and fresh air. I like walking along the promenade-it's a nice long, straight and scenic stretch that runs along the water. Yes, you can encounter some sketchy looking homeless people but just make sure to be aware of your surroundings and you'll be fine! Regal is just across the street and there's lots of restaurants nearby so catching a movie and grabbing some dinner then taking a walk here would make a great date night! I think the city has done a good job of trying to bring downtown Stockton back to life and this place is a good example of that.

I called and spoke to Chris the Harbormaster/ Marina manager and arranged docking for the Fourth of July weekend . When I arrived Chris met me and helped me dock the boat . My waste tank needed pumped out the next morning and two of his dock hands met me and took care of it . It was a super busy weekend and they still provided above excellent service . The entire team at this facility was excellent I wish I could remember the names of the individuals that were so helpful it was all the dock hands and security personnel. Great Experience.

Looking for a beautiful spot to birth your boat where all the action is? Stockton Marina is the place. Last night as we made our way down the San Joaquin Delta for a pre-4th of July run, we noticed all the yachts and boats in berths, most from the SF bay area, some from as far as San Diego, CA and Oregon. Adjoining the Promenade is the Waterfront Warehouse. Live music was reverberating off the arena, ballpark and hotel across the channel. Folks were out walking the promenade, dancing to the beat of the Bump City Band in a festive lantern lit patio overlooking the water at Chivita's. Yachts had their neon lights out with martini signs aglow....it's 5 o'clock somewhere I guess! I'd have to say, I'm very proud or our waterfront and Downtown Marina. It's a real feather in the cap of a city trying to beat the bad rap we've gotten over the years. Stockton really is a Magnificent city.

I requested a certain slip for July 3rd & 4th. I received an e-mail & I was across the channel. The gal said she would change it & send me an e-mail. Nope. So I went in person & explained that I'd paid 70.00 & wanted to be assured of a good spot. The lady said "no problem" and gave me a choice. Today, I arrived & another boat was in my slip& he had rented it. Office confirmed that a mistake had been made & gave me another slip. Someone needs to figure out how to manage this place!

Sparkling essences of lightly tinted water splatter amongst the inhabitants of the Marina. Boats, yachts, and a dock nustle up together like us with our freshly brewed Jamaica Blue coffee in the morning. Above, symmetrically pleasing boat covers keep the vessels sheltered from rain and the changing seasons. Along the Marina shoreline you'll find a boat repair harbor, the Waterfront Warehouse, neat restaurants, a variety of benches scattered about; all conjoined by a lengthy cemented walk path lined with yachts to the IMAX movie theater. Not too far away is the downtown Starbucks, a posh southern French 25 restaurant, Korean BBQ, and a host of other stores in this downtown area. The Marina isn't vast, and you can take in the whole atmosphere in under an hour frankly, but it's one of the most frequently visited quaint little areas of Stockton. Throw on ya' flip flops, have a late lunch at a near eatery downtown, top it off with a cool drink, and let your eyes caress the sunset as you glide along the downtown Stockton Marina.

We made our way by boat to the waterfront to catch a Stockton Ports game on a saturday afternoon - it was kind of quiet actually - us, a few other guest boats and the Casino Royale megayacht across the channel.Everyone had a good time at the ballgame, and we stayed overnight at the new guest dock next to the ballpark/arena.Nice new scenic promenade along the south side of the waterfront, electric and water hookup at the dock, and an easy 1/2 mile walk to the Starbucks.Next time we visit we'd like to do drinks or a meal at the University Plaza hotel next door...

The marina offers a great stretch for a morning run. Quiet and effortless since there's no steep path etc. Just one straight path along a scenic route on the marina.
