My wife & I saw a play here the other night, in which one of our friends was performing. I bought the tickets on the website and was pleasantly surprised to find a BOGO deal for Saturday night shows (not necessarily for all of them, but check our the theater's social media for any deals). The night of the event, we arrived at the theater a little early. There was plenty of free street parking available, so we walked to Will Call to pick up our tickets. The lobby is sparse, with just a few seats to wait until the theater opens. They do have complimentary coffee as well as a snack bar with beer, wine, sodas and other snacks to purchase. The main theater holds around 300 people, so every seat is a good one. With such an intimate setting, the entire audience is right up to the action. There is also a small "black box" theater that holds 65 patrons and shows new and experimental plays.

Although this is a small local theatre they put on a great show. The theatre is small enough where all the seats have a great view. The Crew and volunteers work very hard to put on amazing shows for their community. If you have a chance check out a show or support them by donating.

I've seen two productions here: Mamma Mia and Rock of Ages. My husband's best friend was in both of these, so we wanted to give him our support. We had a blast watching both of these. Mamma Mia was about a year ago and I remember enjoying the singing and acting so much. It was so well done and very entertaining. For Rock of Ages, it should still be going on at the moment and I definitely recommend it! It is HYSTERICAL! You will have a great time being entertained by the cast. Just a small warning, Rock of Ages definitely isn't for kids :) Aside from that, you will love the racy humor and phenomenal singing!

Fabulous theater and a really fun play! I want to get season tickets! We had never been here, and we were very impressed with the performance and the theater itself. Every seat is great. The area around the theater is nice, parking was free and simple. Refreshments are priced well and can be taken into the theater. Loved it!

Had so much fun. The production was very well done. I came for Calendar Girls. Wow they really did it. I love when they do The Jr. Programs. Mulan acted out by kids was the cutest thing I jave ever seen. I cant wait to see those kids do Lion King.

We are fortunate to have an awesome cultural outlet like the StocktonCivic Theater in Stockton. The theater has been around for generation.A few decades ago, my family was involved as volunteers. Butwith family obligations and such, our involvement dwindled.I was fortunate to attend the current production of The Sound of Music.Brilliant! I am again enthused about the theater. Without volunteersand people that love the dramatic arts, there would be no show!I would like the acknowledge and thank the Cortopassi Family Foundationfor underwriting this production. If you are still able to get tickets for this show, I highly recommend it.Bookmark SCT webpage and keep abreast of upcoming events.Support the local arts....

We went to see The Full Monty last night at the SCT. Very nice show, we saw some familiar local actors. The SCT is truly an asset to Stockton. They are trying to raise money for a new sound system and have a nice line up for the 2008-2009 season. My only complaint... the climate control was not pleasing to me. If you know that 200 people are about to be crowded in a room, lower the temp. It went from makeup melting, to freezing... to shirt sticking, to just right.NO.... I am not going through 'the change'. And it wasn't just me... there were other people fanning themselves, putting on and taking off their sweaters.I urge you to go and catch The Full Monty while it is still showing! It was a FANTASTIC SHOW!

My friend and I were in last night (11/15/17) for the opening of SCT's MAMMA MIA. Another home run, top to bottom. The leads, cat and ensemble players were excellent! Entertaing performances of Donna, Sophie st al , fun choreography, and nicely done sets made this local theatre well worth supporting.

Thank goodness there is indeed culture in Stockton. This is a great place to see live musical theatre in town done by the most talented folks in the valley. So far, we have checked out: White Christmas Dec 2012. Muched loved great family showLittle shop of horrors Spring 2013. Great music. Great set/Audrey2Fiddler on the Roof Fall 2013. Powerfully strong productionI liked the shows here so much, I started volunteering my time as an usher to help support this much needed community entertainment. It is a fact that Art enriches our lives and improves our mental health. Support the Arts. Support live theatre. Support Stockton Civic Theatre.Thank you
