Speer BBQ

I've had Speer Bbq at the market over the years, this was my first time being to their brick & mortar location at the Country club. Arriving at 11am, this was the perfect brunch spot for us! It was quiet, and very child friendly. The dining area was clean, well decorated for the holidays and has a nice view of the golf course. I appreciated that they had standard high chairs for the little one, easy to clean and kept her contained so I could eat my food. The owners and staff were friendly, and provided a positive experience.I ordered the chipotle burrito bowl, which is a breakfast burrito bowl. All of the ingredients were fresh, and delicious. It was the perfect portion amount for lunch. I'd reccomend heading here for your next family outing, or even a business meeting.

AWARENESS:I was invited to have lunch at Speer BBQ last week by friends. Even though I've seen Speer BBQ in Tracy many times and knowing they recently opened a new place located at the Tracy Golf Course not long ago, this was my first time visiting.NARRATIVE:Speer BBQ is located in the main building of the Golf Course, next to the pro shop and the putting greens. Within the same building as Speer BBQ is a full bar for you grad your favorite cocktail, beer or wine. Inside, natural lighting from huge bay windows brightens several dining tables which all overlook the beautiful golf greens.The menu is simple. Many of your favorite BBQ platters or sandwiches can be found and in my case, they can make you a custom sandwich if they have the ingredients.I ordered a grilled tri tip sandwich which came on a toasted hoodie style bun, BBQ sauce on the side. Grilled jalapeños and thick cuts of bacon sitting on the top of the Tri tip. Your also given a choice of sides to choose from. Backed beans, potato salad, coleslaw, macaroni salad and a few others. I went with the beans.The sandwich was good and the tri tip was tender. My only regret is; I should have ordered the coleslaw as a side and loaded It on my sandwich.SCENE:Speer BBQ is located at the Tracy Gold Course at the dead end of S. Chrisman Road which is the real side of Tracy.RECOMMENDATION(S):Very good lunch spot. Lots of menu options if you like BBQ.

Always good food and friendly service! If they have them get the bacon rapped jalapeños! Amazing! Breakfast Burrito with added Tri-Tip is awesome! Tri-Tip Deli and a salad is my go to!

Ok, this update is loooong overdue! Speer BBQ has been consistently awesome I'm not only their food, but customer service! Not only are they still at the weekly Tracy framers market, they also have now opened a location at the Tracy golf course. They continue to expand their menu while keeping some of the staples that everyone loves! We love going to the golf course location since there is wonderful indoor and outdoor seating (with shade, heat lamps, games, etc) with great views as well as some menu items you can't get at the farmers market. All of the sauces are housed made and taste amazingly delicious with all of their items they serve. We will continue to support this local family owned business with ono grindz and great service... and now at an awesome location we can stop by during the week or for brunch also!

The Bbq is off the chain moist. The sides like onion ring are great. I had the 3 meat combo and it was tremendous. Girl friend had the Jamin hamburger and it was wonderful. Service was fast and it is a nice b Clubhouse on the golf course.

My son and I were traveling from Pismo Beach to Modesto to attend a concert. We found Speer BBQ on yelp.They have awesome ratings so we decided to give it a try. Best decision we made for lunch. The food, the customer service and atmosphere at the golf course is amazing! Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

I went to the farmers market in Tracy and tried Speer bbq. I ordered the chicken sandwich, it had lettuce, onions, cheese, bacon and crispy onions. Very filling! It was so good, I recommend you to try it out

Can't wait for their brick and mortar location to open at the Tracy Golf and Country Club! Was visiting back home with my kids and me and mom picked up a few things from the farmer's market for lunch. Everything was EXCELLENT! We got the loaded tri-tip sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, chicken sandwich, and the Crunchwrap with pork. Portions were HUGE! Between 4 adults and 2 kids we still had leftovers for the next day. My favorite was the loaded tritip -- the horseradish sauce was the perfect addition to the tender tri tip and nice soft (but NOT SOGGY bread!) Pulled pork was KILLER with the slightly sweet slaw. My 6 year old's favorite was the Crunchwrap. He ate almost HALF by himself. Cant wait to go back and sit down at the club while enjoying the beautiful view of the country club. I'd post a photo -- but we inhaled it too fast!

Speer BBQ is a great place to eat delicious bbq and enjoy a relaxing atmosphere at the golf course. The service is always great and the food is fantastic. This is one of our favorite casual dining spots in Tracy.

If you have not been out to Tracy Golf and Country Club or to the Farmers Market in a downtown Tracy you're missing Mike and Katie Speer's BBQ Do yourself a favor and try it Katie is a server at the Golf Course. Mike and Roger cook some of the best BBQ around. Mike teaches cooking class in Stockton for those so inclined. Do not miss out. .
