Sonoma Valley Trail Rides

Michelle runs a quality operation and I won't ride on horses that are not well cared for because I respect them as intelligent animals of beauty and character. The horses were happy, groomed nicely and super well mannered, my horse was like being in auto pilot as he knew exactly what to do so I could enjoy the visual elements of the ride and pay attention to the tour talk of the oldest winery in CA at Bartholomew in Sonoma, right next to Buena Vista winery vineyards and along serene creek side trails that opened up to the vibrant mustard flowers meadows. They have different trail ride options from beginner to intermediate experience level of horse riders . The tour I chose included 2 bottles of delicious cab that you pick up by name at the tasting room on a hillside that overlooks the valley and wooded hills. I really enjoyed my horse and galloped some, he interacted well with all the other horses, of which it was a small group of 3 riders and a tour lead. Very interesting location for a relaxing ride from bat boxes to vineyard history, it was a memorable ride. The quality of the saddles and horses is high, with some horses being former show horses, race horses and all in great health. I will be back for a longer ride for sure! Michelle adjusted my saddle expertly so my long legs were perfectly fit to the horse and saddle, so no cramping or aches could occur. Outstanding experience overall!

This is by far my favorite experience in Sonoma / Napa. The people who run this business are so kind and patient. Both towards the customers and the horses! You can definitely tell that they treat the horses well and know them really well. They pair you with a horse that fits your skill level. I got to ride Jacques, the best horse!!!

Really nice location for a ride and hiking. Our horses were wonderful and our guide was very knowledgeable. Summertime is very warm in Sonoma so keep that in mind.

Had an awesome experience trail riding with Michelle this past weekend. We got such a beautiful day and really lucky on the weather. Michelle was warm, inclusive, outgoing, and told us all about the different sites on the land we were trail riding on. She took great photos and really great care of us as riders. I would highly highly recommend a trail ride with Sonoma Valley Trail Rides, and I hope to be back out there soon with the team!

This place exceeded my expectations. Chris was out tour guide & she is AWESOME.!. Very patient & attentive. This was my first time riding a horse I was so nervous but she put my mind at ease. Wine tasting at Canihan Vineyard was a special treat as well.!. Highly recommend this place.!. Can't wait to go again.!.

What a lovely and relaxing experience! Tish and Michelle were so kind, engaging, and instructive and of course the horses were so sweet. I absolutely recommend if you're in the area and looking for a great horseback riding time through vineyards!

We had a great time riding with Michelle and Travis. As a couple who had not ridden horses in decades, Michelle and Travis showed us the ropes and we both felt comfortable on the horses. The scenery was beautiful and the conversation was great. They even sent us away with a host of pictures and videos on our phones.

What a great way to spend the day in Sonoma! The views, the horses, and most especially our trail guides Michelle and Chris were wonderful! They cater to all levels of riders from beginner to advanced. And you get a bottle of wine at the end of the ride what more can you ask for?

These are the best cared-for horses I've ever met in my 60+ long years on the planet. I can't recommend this group of wonderful horse people - and their hand-selected, beautiful horses - highly enough. 5 Stars plus!

Such a fun experience!! Decided to go horse back riding for my birthday and so glad i did. My sister and I were the only ones scheduled for the afternoon session so we got a personalized tour. Michelle and Gus accompanied us and were so kind and patient as it was our first time riding horses. There was so much to learn and the views were amazing. They also took great videos and pics of us while on the trail. All in all we had a great time and will definitely be back along with more friends.
