We had an amazing Father's Day picnic and trout fishing. All ages had fun:5-74! We caught big trout and took them home to bbq and they were delicious!! No need to bring your own poles. They will provide. Clean bathrooms and surrounding area of pond. Happy families everywhere. Be careful on the long and winding road up.

Friendly, helpful staff. Nice grounds. Anyone/age can catch beautiful trout. The road everyone complains about in previous reviews has been recently paved, making access much easier.

I gave 4 stars just because the drive to get there is really scary! The road is very narrow and two cars trying to pass each other if there is no area for you to pull over to let the other car pass (I'm not sure how that would work) because if you have a bigger car it would be really hard. Make sure you have really good tires too because it's dirt and Little Rock's. Definitely make sure you look ahead because sometimes you can see a car coming your way and give yourself time to find a place to pull to the side. When we drove home behind my step dad I tried to call them to let them know a car was coming so they can pull over it was almost bad because when they turned the corner they had to kinda swerve and that's not good how narrow it is and how high up! This will definitely be my last time coming here! Not because of the place or the people but because of the drive. The place is beautiful once you get to it.My stepdad, mom, sister myself and my partner went on Sunday 4/3/2022 I think if I knew how the drive was I would of passed. But I'm glad I went I had fun. I think the place is a really good place to take kids to practice fishing they had some kids there and it was so cute to see how excited they got when they would catch a fish. They have bamboo fishing poles you can rent. Not sure the price my stepdad brought his own. But if you don't have any the bamboo ones work just fine I saw a lot of people using those. It's not a catch and release place. You have to keep the fish and pay for them. I should of taken a picture of the prices. It's per inch I think. Some of them are pretty small I felt bad catching those because they are so tiny. They have tables you can have a picnic at. Grassy areas. Bring your own chair to sit to fish the tables to eat are not by the pond. They close at 5 pm which is good because you definitely DO NOT want to drive those roads in the dark! I swear I had a full blown panic attack seeing how narrow the roads are. I didn't get a chance to interact with the owners my sister brought the fish up but she said they are nice - it's family owned. They clean and gut your fish for you give you a bag with ice for your fish! It's definitely a good place for kids to learn. If you're not afraid of really narrow roads and being high up then you will love bringing your kids here to fish. They get so excited when they catch one and you will definitely catch a fish. You might want to space out your time because you pay for every fish and no catch and releasing them.

What a hidden GEM! We came here on a Sunday and it was so fun. First things first, as other reviews have mentioned, the drive is up into the mountain. Around mile marker 15, turns to a gravel road. We had a sedan that day, did fine. No need to worry about traction, but have gas to get up and down. Breathtaking views along the way, so ok to take it slow. On the last turn, sign can be confusing, go left there should be Christmas lights on a tree. The farm itself is a very well maintained, stocked pond. Owners provide poles and a wad of bait, boxes to keep fish in if you forgot a bucket. There are many picnic tables w/umbrellas to sit. Also, they have BBQs with propane to actually cook your fish! (They clean it for you) Make a day of it, we def will next time. Bathrooms are clean. Bring sunscreen, many of our catches were in sunny areas. **NO CREDIT/DEBIT** Bring cash, price is per inch, and maybe a tip for cleaning. No concessions, I would suggest at least a packed lunch and water.Lastly, the owners were so gracious, took pride in their business and enjoyed the kids. We will def go back!

Highly recommend as guaranteed to catch a fish! My young kids were smiling throughout the day each time they caught a fish. The area is beautifully maintained with clean restrooms and picnic tables. Make sure to bring lunch/food and cash to pay for your caught fish. You can bring your own fishing pole, bait and bucket but the place has these available as well. The drive is up a mountain with spectacular views but be careful as road becomes gravel and narrow. Our minivan did fine. We had our cooler of food, drinks. The owners are friendly and offer to clean your fish and place them in ice. We had a memorable family fishing day! Thank you Smith family!

Love, Love, Love SMSHTF! Have taken our kids here several times. This isn't fishin'... it's just catchin'!Bring your own rods or use their bamboo rods. Only pay for what you catch. Price adds up quick but when you account for not having to buy fishing licenses and virtually guaranteed fish - it all evens out. They even clean the fish for you! Bags and ice included! Cash only. This is in the hills so cell reception is light and not a chance of using a credit card machine. Drive is long and narrow. Take it easy, mind the turns. But wow - is it ever beautiful and well worth it. You'll loose cell reception and directions in the hills so once you hit the dirt road just watch for the signs/arrows. I do miss the BBQs but understand what with the fire danger. So pack a picnic.
