Smack Pie Pizza

It has been a few years since I've visited Smack Pie, but I have yet to find a pizza place with bbq sauce as good as theirs SO when we were in town looking for lunch... we decided to go back! I'm pleasantly surprised that their menu is nearly exactly the same with the same wide variety of toppings. My favorite has always been the build your own option with bbq sauce (again, top notch), fresh mozz and regular mozz, pepperoni and spicy pepperoni, sausage, buffalo chicken, with a ranch drizzle. YUM!A BYO 3-topping was the max with additional toppings for I think 50 cents each. Not a bad deal considering it's hard to find add-ons for under a dollar at most places, but definitely miss the days when a BYO was all the toppings you wanted - although I do understand why that's probably not a smart business practice. Pleased to report that the quality hasn't changed much if at all, everything tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly, and they have delicious garlic knot type things now, too. I was a little sad that they take the orders at the front register now and don't walk you down the line "Subway style" to choose your toppings and watch them make it. I always enjoyed that because then I could ask for double toppings if it wasn't enough of something. I remember getting a salad-pizza combo for a steal of a deal before. Today's visit blew my mind because our two pizzas and a side (plus tip) was $50! A sign of the times, I suppose. Would recommend for a day date or pizza on-the-go.

Love this lil pizza spot when I'm downtown and the food is great, however, sometimes the place isnt as cleaned up as it should be. I understand some customers just leave their tables without putting their garbage and trays away, but I hope staff would be there to clean up to allow for the next guests to sit. Theres been a few times that just didnt happen while we were there. Otherwise, the pizzas are great and I especially like the dough here.

Smack Pie pizza is a favorite of mine-- delicious fresh pizza, great crust! Vegetarian pizzas are as good as meat ones, so bring your vegetarian friends and enjoy.

I'm sitting here at Smack Pie; watching the hustle and bustle of the dinner rush during a Thursday Farmers Market here in Lodi.This team is absolutely phenomenal! They're communicating effectively, executing their individual jobs with proficiency and precision. All in all, there's a Fantastic team running this place.The pizza is excellent, and doesn't break the bank! They have a vast array of toppings and they even have dairy-free cheese!!! Best pizza in town - Hands Down!!! :)

Not at all pet friendly place even though it was obvious that i have a Service Dog, as my SD is wearing a vest with ADA emblem attached to the back of her vest. I was asked to sit outside (patio). It was cold & no one is crazy enough to sit out there. The place had 3 tables occupied inside. There was plenty of room for me & my SD. I asked if i could sit closest to the door but not outside. No way. I waited outside with my SD for my pizza & asked for a take out instead of sit in. They have good pizza but there are other pizza places that can offer the same & warmth to my SD & me.

Joseph's unprofessionalism and customer service are both shocking and appalling. Do not come here unless you want to leave scared witless. Such a shame this is what represents the restaurant.

Wow, never have I had such a bad customer experience in my life. I was waiting on my girlfriend for lunch and literally got strong-armed by an employee named Joseph because I wanted to use the restroom. Well, I waited; never have I been treated like that by anyone in my life.

5 star pizza. Thin, personal size with a crispy just right crust. I just wish you can walk down the line and order the pizza topping by topping.

Smack Pie used to be our favorite spot to go to as a family. We go way back to when they first opened and it was soo good. It was like a subway and you added anything you wanted. It is no longer like that. We went last night and the menu has totally changed. Which is fine, but it's nothing like it used to be and it also doesn't taste like it used too. The cheese was very bland. There wasn't many toppings put on the pizza. I'm not sure why they changed the menu but it was the spot to go to in Lodi and the experience was cool. But we most likely won't be returning. For the price you pay we can pay a little more some where else, better quality, tastes better, and get more for our money. Missing the old smack pie.
