Sierra Vista Vineyards & Winery

We went to Sierra Vista for the first time this weekend. There was a Spring Wine Extravaganza. For $10 a person you could gain entry and get a glass of wine for $5. There was live music included but any food was extra. The Pros were the view from the Winery, the pizza from the oven and the good company we brought with us. The Cons were the chaotic order of things when you arrive, the staff didn't know what the wrist band included and the wine was so/ so. All in all, we may return to enjoy the view, a pizza and music someday.

We had family in town and brought them to Sierra Vista because we knew from last experience they'd enjoy the beautiful scenery and the tasty wine. We were not disappointed. They have a great outdoor seating area and a lovely tasting area with lots of snacks. Tim was outside chatting with us and made our experience even more memorable. Thanks for having such great staff and a lovely place for us to enjoy.

Are you like me and when you visit a winery you pray the sommelier is amazing because this part really makes or breaks the whole experience. Well if you are, then I have good news, this winery is a must visit! First of all the property is beautiful. When you walk in there's an area to choose the experience you're looking for, tasting? Glass? Etc. We were really lucky to have Becca as our sommelier. She was really friendly, funny, knowledgeable and made our whole experience memorable. After we chose our tasting, she let us know we could sit inside our outside, our choice. We decided to start inside and then ventured outside after our tasting. The inside was nicely decorated and the seating felt comfortable in the respect that we didn't feel like anyone would be sitting too close. The seating was spaced nicely. I really enjoyed the outside of the vineyard. I would highly recommend spending most of your time outside admiring the beautiful landscape. We were visiting my friend who lives nearby and now I want to come here every time we visit her! Thanks for the great experience Becca and thanks for the wine purchase recommendations. I enjoyed the wine at home as well.

Sierra Vista has the most beautiful view of all the El Dorado County wineries I've seen! The service is always friendly and helpful. The wines are delicious along with the food. They have great music outdoors on summer weekends as well as indoor events during the rainy season. Come up and see why Sierra Vista is the perfect name for this wonderful winery!

BRING PHILLIP BACK!!! the wines are always amazing. Lauren is a beacon of light in the darkness of winter. Did I mention you need to bring Phillip back???!?!

Besides their wines, which are exceptional, the staff is amazing!Tracy, the manager, and Danniel, who also helped us , are not only knowledgeable about their wines, but they were both so friendly, helpful, and just plain FUN while interacting with us!I highly recommend this winery, the wines, and that both of these wonderful people get a huge raise!!!

We drove from Roseville for a date night to celebrate my birthday and let me tell you, this winery was well worth the beautiful drive up there! We got lucky to be one of the last ones to use the pods before the warmer season starts. Such a fun and unique experience! We started with a flight, trying both white and reds... it was so hard to choose a bottle! Almost all of them were amazing! We went with the Zin and took a couple of other bottles home with us. The food was divine! The pizza so unique and delicious! We ordered wings and one pizza and it was more than enough for the 2 of us. The atmosphere was beautiful (even in the rain) and the service was amazing. We will definitely be back and bringing friends/family with us!

Sierra Vista Winery in Placerville is a great find for wonderful wines in El Dorado County. They just celebrated 50 years in business and you can see and experience why. The tasting room is at 2800 ft and on a clear day you can see the beautiful Sierras in the distance. Their wines are delicious! Our favorite whites were Viognier and Picpoul. We also enjoyed their reds, Grenache, Cabernet Sauvignon, and their proprietary Tiger Lily blends. Equally as great is the staff, Tracy, the Tasting Room Manager, Erica, one of the servers, and Ryan, the winemaker. They are very friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate about their wines. Whenever you are in Placerville, don't miss the chance to visit this special winery.

Today we had a delicious lunch. It's Throw Back Thursday & pizzas are half price! We enjoyed the Druken Vampire pizza & Korean BBQ'd wings. Delicious!! A bargain at the regular price & a steal at half price!! Their new chef, Tim Benham, is very creative & everything on the menu is delicious!! Try it yourself!!
