I needed a gift for Father's Day and didn't want to drive all the way to REI. Found something great immediately but my husband wanted a long sleeve shirt instead. He was able to return the shirt and picked out a beautiful Patagonia shirt. Mike the owner was helpful both times and even gave us a discount. I definitely will continue to shop here.

This place is legit - a whole litany of outdoor supplies - nice clothing and excellent selection of fly fishing wares - I buy a lot of flies from them ! Run by a couple great folks , if you need anything outdoors , give these local guys a try first , you won't be disappointed

I took my husband for a scenic drive to Sutter Creek and we sauntered up and down Main Street checking out interesting shops along the way. Down at one end we discovered the Sierra Mountain Outdoor store, and on a rack of clothing that was out front on the sidewalk, I found a beautiful plaid shirt that fit him perfectly.Even marked down the prices aren't cheap, but the quality is excellent, and in the case of the Marmot shirt I bought for my husband, it comes with a lifetime guarantee.

Moved to a larger building at the end of town. They carry Marmot and Prana .

As a Sutter Creek local, I couldn't be happier to have a store like this in town. Top quality outdoor wear/gear, great selection, and a very friendly and helpful staff. You can't ask for more. We are so lucky to have them. I'm sure visitors appreciate the variety they bring to our downtown shopping as well.

Rude customer service I went in to get a vest and the lady in there was really dismissive with her response and said whatever we have is out there and walked off. Then she said we are sold out and said there are some in the men's section even though I am a petite size. Just a terrible interaction if this is how they treat the customers I don't see how anyone could give them five stars unless they didn't talk to them. Awful just awful. Will never go back.

All the best outdoor equipment brands and a surprising selection for what looked like a small shop from the outside! We enjoyed being able to support a locally owned business and get the quality camping gear we needed, plus the bonus of interacting with a really nice shop keeper! We'll be back (again!)

Stopped in today to ask for some tips on hiking. The two guys working in the shop were super friendly and really knowledgeable about hiking and camping in the foothills and the Sierras. Ended up talking to them for a long time and getting lots of tips. They knew which spots were snowed in, when each campground was opening for the season, and so on. They even gave us their card in case we had more questions.The shop itself is really well stocked and had a good variety of gear and clothing for lots of outdoor activities. They are located right on the Main Street in Sutter Creek. It appeared to be locally run and not a chain store. Highly recommended!
